There are many different places to share content on the web. AddThis calls these sites Services — a "Service" is just a web page that can accept shared content on it’s URL. The Service Directory includes all of the services AddThis knows about. It lets publishers, users, and service owners see where sharing is happening on the web, and suggest new destinations. AddThis uses the Service Directory, along with deep analysis of sharing activity, to provide users with smarter, more contextually relevant choices for sharing content to specific services. http://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/articles/381214-service-directory

Process

Once you’ve submitted your service we’ll review it and verify that we are able to integrate. If your service is approved, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to its location in the directory. If we are not able to approve your service, we will send you an email with an explanation and followup information. The review and approval process can take a few weeks to a few months. We appreciate your patience. by nicolas Mar 7

OExchange only

The Problem Lots of services accept URL-based content — social networks, news and bookmarking sites, communication tools, long-tail forums, translation and printing utilities — and more appear every day. Why do blogs still show chiclets for only the top few social networks? Why can't users engage with more personal, relevant, dynamically-discovered options? Why are sharing tools still "integrating" with services individually? http://www.oexchange.org/

Quick Start

If you manage a service that can accept URLs and do something useful with them (a "Target" in OExchange terms), here's what you need to know to support the protocol. There's also an example service you can take a look at. 1. Expose an endpoint to receive URLs in a standard way First make sure that your service exposes a URL endpoint at which users, via their browsers, can send it content.
Whether you have a web site built using Flash, or a component like a game or a video player, you can add AddThis sharing features to it. Note: If you are looking for information on sharing Flash content, rather than adding sharing into a Flash application, take a look at this tutorial . Initiating sharing from a Flash object is as simple as sending the user's browser to the Sharing Endpoints via simple links or your own user interface elements. http://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/articles/381274-flash-installation

Flash installation

Overview To help you integrate AddThis into Flash, we've put together some ActionScript 3 reference sample code for you to download. Though you can always call the AddThis Sharing Endpoints yourself ( read more in this guide ), this sample code can serve as a guide and even give you some code you can use in your own projects directly. We have a low-level sharing api , as well as a Flash-native sharing menu . Download the Flash Assets The Flash assets and code for the examples below are freely available to download and use. http://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/articles/381276-flash-examples
