Mardi 31 août 2010 2 31 /08 /Août /2010 07:49 Cela faisait un moment que je désirais un noren (rideau fendu de porte japonais) mais celui que j'avais vu en rouge avec les maneki neko faisait plus de 50 euros ce qui est assez cher pour un 86x46 cm de tissu même si cela est original. J'ai donc craqué sur le Gingko noren de Madame Mo, à 26 euros. J'ai bien regardé le motif, prévu le matériel pour le réaliser et conclu que cela me coûterait plus cher d'en faire un que d'acheter l'original. De plus réussir la finesse des dessins aurait été compliqué (voyez ci-dessous, pris en photo à la réception, non repassé). Donc... En étudiant la façon dont il était réalisé, j'ai voulu faire un tuto pour que les personnes qui désireraient réaliser un noren sachent comment s'y prendre.
Tuto pour noren (ici un 86x46 cm) Tissu à motif ou uni d'environ 1mx0,75m Fil blanc ou de même ton que votre motif ou tissu. Découpez deux parties de 46x43 (plus couture en haut et en bas). Alfafa. Sacs furoshiki. Me revoilà enfin avec la suite des furoshikis. Pour rappel ce sont ces foulards savamment noués selon des techniques japonaises ancestrales pour tout porter et/ou empaqueter. Les furoshiki étaient un peu tombés en desuétude, mais devant l'ampleur des déchets de sacs plastiques, les associations écologiques japonaises et le ministère de l'environnement tentent de les remettre au goût du jour. Be patient when trying to master this because after all, we are cutting with string and polish remover. It’s best to triple your yarn because it will burn longer! Soak it GOOD! I like to tie my yarn where I want my glass to “cut” then quickly pour polish remover over the string again. Get a big bowl with ice and water ready. VERY IMPORTANT! Slowly turn your bottle. You can’t let the flame go OUT then dunk it in the ice water. YAY!!! Je reste sur l'ordi avec le logiciel posteriza ce coup-ci (faites une recherche sur internet, c'est un logiciel gratuit) pour imprimer ma moustache au nombre de pages voulues... j'ai choisi sur 3 pages... Ensuite, hop je scotche mes pages ensemble (très pratiques les repères sur les pages) et me voilà avec mon patron !!! Deux façons de mesurer le contour : - vous le suivez avec une ficelle, un ruban... que vous mesurerez ensuite plus facilement une fois "déplié"

Especially when that nasty gremlins try to creep in and stump me. I remembered this origami star video on You Tube and had to get them involved in my plan. I thought it would be fun to make a whole bunch with kind words and “you are….” phrases inside. I made 60 of them, enough to last me the whole year if I open one a week, plus a few extra just in case. Supplies needed: Acrylic dabbers, photocopy of an image, water spritzer bottle, paintbrush, card stock, craft sheet and heat tool (optional) Take the lid off the dabbers and brush the paint onto the card stock, ensure you get a good coverage Take your photocopied image ( remember that you will get a reverse of the image, so don't use bold words), flip it over and place it in the acrylic. Lightly press it down making sure it's smooth and not wrinkled Leave to air dry for at least 15 minutes and then if you wish give it a blast with the heat tool Only move onto this step when you are sure your paint is completely dryTake your water filled spritzer bottle, spray the back of the paper no more than two squirts, you don't want it too wet Next start to rub the paper very gently with your finger Keep rubbing and extra spritzing if you need too Eventually you will get rid of all the paper, but it does take a bit of patience as you have to be careful not to wet it too much and rub the image away.
Vinyl Belt Buckle and Interchangeable Belt Tutorial. That’s quite the mouthful, isn’t it? I’ve wanted to make belts with buckles before, but I have a hard time finding the buckles with the center bars at any craft stores near me. Sometimes I just don’t feel like paying shipping—you will often end up spending over $5.00 for one buckle that way.
Thus, the vinyl belt buckle was born. SO simple! And I’m going to show you how to make a belt interchangeable! You can make the other side of the belt with a different fabric to make it reversible, like the one I googled and found here on Tarilyn’s Show’n Tell. OR you can use velcro to take them off the buckle and then make as many as you’d like to interchange. To make the belt buckle, download the free pattern here. You’ll need: 4” x 7” piece vinyl glue stick piping (optional) 1” piece velcro First cut out two vinyl buckle pieces using the pattern. Optional step: add some piping around the buckle outer. Place wrong sides together and glue. For the belt, I used the Plaid Belt tutorial on Sew4Home.
