The full version of this tutorial, along with many others is available in the Systematic Mixing Guide, available here: http://www.systematicproductions.com/mixing-guide.htm Originally, I had hoped to sequence these tutorials in the same way I normally progress through mixes. That is, to start with the drums, move through to bass, then guitars, then finally vocals. The reason that guitars got bumped up the ladder is simply because I'm mixing them right now, and these ideas are all very much fresh in my head.

Welcome to Online Bass Lessons at Studybass.com! Welcome to StudyBass.com! My name is Andrew Pouska and I'm the creator of this interactive, online bass lesson site. Over the past 15 years I've taught hundreds of students, face-to-face, how to play the bass guitar and about music. I hope you enjoy the site and put it to use. There's a lot to learn here and it's only going to grow and grow.
The Prodigy reborn with underworld instincts comes to life wielding the drive of the original classic Big Muff Pi and the earthy support of a bass tailored design with no loss of low end. This is the pedal that bass players who loved the Big Muff sound have been waiting for. Premier Guitar recently visited our new headquarters in New York City. While here, PG’s Rebecca Dirks and her news crew were hosted on a guided tour by company founder and president, Mike Matthews. We hope you enjoy this inside look at EHX.
If you think the Red Ripper is just another bass fuzzbox, you don’t know Jack. This all-analog distortion effect features aggressive tones and vintage filter-style effects, all completely under your control for truly custom sounds. More than a simple distortion box, the Red Ripper responds to the dynamics of your individual touch. Play harder for more fuzz and higher harmonics, ease up for less fuzz and enhanced lower harmonics. The Red Ripper’s nasty little secret is the R.I.P. control, which powers your bass tone from vintage fuzz, to tectonic distortion and into the realms of Brassmaster-style octaver fuzz.
