You name the design profession and there was a tribe for it. An event might not be a community, but it is an incredible catalyst for community. Membership - a feeling that members have of belonging. The above icons are colorful and have some depth to them, but you often see icons that are flat and monochrome.
Here’s an example from urbangap.com/urban12/dicembre. I often see icons that are all gray. What is an icon and why are icons so popular? An icon is a graphic used as a symbol for a concept. Because our brains remember images better than text, your audience will be more likely to remember the concepts you want to convey with an accompanying image. Icons are also popular for other reasons: They can be universal, understood by people speaking different languagesThey can be small, which means they work on screens of all sizesThey are small files because they’re simple, which is valuable on smaller devices with little storage An icon can be any file type, but if you can find a vector format, you’ll be able to import it into PowerPoint and edit it to your heart’s content.
Where can you find icons? CADD Manager. You notice something. Then you become concerned. Then it becomes an “Issue”. That is the progression… but how does it move from one to the next? These are the steps of items evolving beyond annoyance, anomaly or abstraction. These are the items that have others moving beyond concern to very concerned, to an issue. The conversations that others start with you begins with “We have an issue with…” and move quickly from there to possibly even more advanced levels.
How things move from Noticed to a Concern If you notice something, you keep your eye on it and address it when it first looks to be a concern. After investigating things you notice, if they are bigger than you think or have greater impact, they move to concerns. But when do people come and talk to you about troubling items? By Ralph Grabowski When Autodesk first introduced hatch patterns to AutoCAD (more than ten years ago in v1.4), the hatch pattern was consisted of three elements: dashes, gaps, and dots. To create a repeating pattern, the pattern definition specifies an offset and angle. During the intervening decade, the only change made by Autodesk was the addition of associativity to Release 13; change the boundary and the pattern automatically updates itself.
In this tutorial, we look at how to create our own hatch pattern and edit existing patters. Where Does A Hatch Pattern Come From? Hatch patterns are defined in a file external to AutoCAD. No hatch patterns are predefined in a new AutoCAD drawing. When AutoCAD applies a hatch pattern to an area, AutoCAD generates an infinite number of parallel patterns from the definition in the PAT file -- the infinite pattern comes to a stop when it reaches a boundary (see figure #1). The Marlin software can use standard Atmel / Arduino EEPROM to store all the "constants" you are talking about. The working constants are loaded into RAM when the firmware boots up... either from EEPROM or from the defaults stored in the firmware. If the EEPROM "version number" matches the "version number" expected by the firmware, then it uses the EEPROM numbers. You can change the values of the constants in RAM with G-Code commands, and then you can store the modified values in EEPROM with an M500 command. After that, the "version number" will automatically match, and subsequent boots of the firmware will use the EEPROM values. I think you will find it a lot faster and easier to play with your constants this way as opposed to compiling and flashing your firmware all the time. I agree that somehow your step rate is too fast if the stepper motor just buzzes or hums and doesn't move.
