Begrotingstekort en staatsschuld Griekenland. Sinds eind 2009 is het crisis in Griekenland. Het land kampt met een extreem begrotingstekort en een enorme staatsschuld. De angst is dat als Griekenland failliet gaat de euro in gevaar komt. De overige eurolanden en het Internationaal Monetair Fonds (IMF) moesten Griekenland te hulp schieten. Door middel van zware bezuinigingen en hervormingen moeten de Grieken orde op zaken stellen.
De eurolanden en het IMF kwamen Griekenland in 2010 te hulp met een pakket noodleningen van 110 miljard euro, te vergeven in meerdere tranches, om de stabiliteit van de eurozone te herstellen. In 2013 kwamen de trojka en Griekenland een nieuwe tranche overeen, waardoor de Grieken hun schulden weer af kunnen lossen. De EU wil dat Griekenland aan de begrotingsregels voldoet en eist dat Griekenland hervormingen doorvoert. All That Is Interesting - Part 3. Meerkats are pretty darn cute. With their tall, slender bodies and expressive faces, these critters are often caught perched on their two hind feet, scanning the savanna for predators. That being said, baby meerkats are even cuter. Photographer Will Burrard-Lucas recently traveled to the Makgadikgadi Pans region of Botswana to snap pictures of the beloved creatures. While there, Burrard-Lucas had the pleasure of capturing various images of a meerkat community that included some three-week-old baby meerkats. The resulting photos are playful, adorable and sure to brighten your day.
