The Braid Encyclopedia - French, Dutch, Fish, Rope, 4 strand, and 5 strand. SHORT HAIR CHIGNON - thebeautydepartment.com. Hello dollies! Today’s video is dedicated to those of you with bobs and long bobs.

A lot of emails come in regarding short hair and how hard it can be to dress it up. This is one of my favorite, long-lasting hairstyles for brides and party-going gals who are lacking length. Hope you guys love it as much as we do!! Xx Kristin TOOLS: elastic based headband, medium sized curling iron, light-hold styling cream, bobbypins, comb, hand mirror. Start with an elastic based headband. Related posts: THE EVERY DAY WAVE - thebeautydepartment.com. Follow these easy steps to get Lauren’s every day wave: • Tools: protective serum or argon oil, 1″ barrel curling iron, light hold hairspray, comb. • Work a small amount of protective serum through the ends of your hair. • Using a 1″ barrell curling iron, curl sections of hair away from your face. • (The section of your hair should be comparable to the size of the curling iron) • Comb through curls to soften them up. • To finish, spray hair with a light holding hairspray.

Additional information: ~ For this quick every day wave, I like to use a 1″ curling iron because when you comb out the curl it will loosen up and widen, making it look like you used a larger sized iron. . ~ I encourage you not to spray your hair with hairspray until the end. Xxkristin Related posts: THE BALLERINA BUN - thebeautydepartment.com. This is both Lauren and my favorite look right now for so many reasons.

It’s classic, it’s quick, it can make you look taller, and you can wear it with almost anything! The ballerina bun can be worn high up on the top of your head or down lower near the back of your neck. Either way, our favorite ”go-to-do” for anyone with collar bone length hair or longer. • Tools: 1″ barrell curling iron, clear elastic or pony tail holder, smoothing + updo brush, 4-6 large bobby pins, firm holding hairspray. • Using a 1 inch curling iron quickly curl all of your hair under. • Flip hair over and gather into a high ponytail securing with an elastic or ponytail holder. • Using your smoothing brush, back comb (lightly tease) hair.

. • Twist hair and wrap around the base to create your bun shape. • Insert bobby pins along the base of the bun, securing it to your head. • Spray all over with a firm holding hairspray and smooth down fly-aways. xxkristin Related posts: PIN IT UP, GIRL - thebeautydepartment.com.

Our email box is literally flooded with requests for updos so here’s a fun one to get us all going! This is always a favorite for attending an event. This updo looks gorgeous on any hair color but particularly amazing with hilighted hair because it gives the hair lots of depth and dimension. For lack of a better word, I love the way it becomes “swirly”. Best thing is; it’s easy to do, gorgeous and keeps your hair out of your way for the night. I made this a printable tutorial, so all of the steps are next to the photos. Tools you’ll need: curling iron (to prep the hair with waves), sectioning clips, teasing comb or brush, clear elastic rubber band, bobby pins, light to medium holding hairspray (to mist over at the end).
