BUY or DIY Geronimo Giant Balloons With Streamers. He passed me a messy, misspelt note scribbled on paper from the back of his maths exercise book. It read: You make me feel like… jaronimo! It was his sweet, boyish way of saying that he liked me. I had to pinch myself. You see, I was a shy, geeky 16 year old at the time and ‘geronimo boy’ was my first proper crush. Who knew that underneath that bad boy exterior (and all that hair gel) beat the heart of a poet. To this day I consider it to be one of the loveliest and most romantic things anyone has ever said to me. Why am I telling you this? Because not only do I adore the word ‘geronimo’ for that very reason, I also can’t get enough of the big, round balloons adorned with tassels, sparkles and all kinds of frilly fancies created by Geronimo Balloons!

Geronimo Ballons These wonderfully round balloons are a great way to add a bit of sparkle and whimsy to a wedding when used in your wedding colours as ceremony/reception decor for fun portrait shots and even for gifts. Want a cheaper option? 1. 2. This Much Card and a Kid Canvas. Father's Day ideas continued... I decided to show you the things Harvey and I made to give to Justin. First up... "I Love You This Much Card": It's super easy... 1. Trace your child's hand, then cut out two copies. My paper was double sided so I made sure that when the thumbs match up - the yellow side would be inside, and the blue side would be outside. 2. 3. Kid Canvas: Then Harvey and I made a little canvas (4 inches x 4 inches) to hang on the wall in Justin's office at work.

I prepainted the canvas in green, then set Harvey in the bathtub with blue paint and a brush and let him paint his own "picture. " Every year I'll have our kids paint their own picture on a matching canvas to add to the collection. Done. It’s 9:00pm. We have officially finished up our valentines-for-classmates preparations. Things I’m thinking: 1) I have a lot of children. 2) Those children have a lot of classmates. It turns out Colorado has bigger class sizes than New York. It took me until Valentines Day to notice. We used a clever idea I found on Kirtsy — via 24-7-365. To those who are up late making stuff: I salute you with my exacto knife. Easy paper ice cream ornaments. I added some more DIY ornaments to our Christmas tree. I'm having trouble adjusting to the thought of winter; can you tell?

These ice cream cones are made from tissue paper and a grocery bag. To make the cones, cut circles from a brown paper bag. Mine were about 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Cut each circle in half. Wad a couple pieces of tissue paper into balls. If you plan to hang the ice cream cones, thread a needle with a doubled piece of thread. Line the inside rim of the cone with hot glue and push the bottom scoop into the cone.

What to do with old wine corks | Stylebaggage. This might be my favorite way of repurposing used wine corks. (besides the wine cork mulch idea) Instead of using predictable store bought charms, name tags or different colored ribbons, I used different winery corks for my wine tags. The next time you have a party and don’t want to run out of glasses, this is the perfect thing to have on hand. Everyone will know which glass is theirs by their wine maker. It’s also a great conversation starter. Everyone can chat about their particular winery and if and what they drink from there, etc… Go from this: To this: I think making a dozen of these and putting them in a clear bag or decorative chinese take out box would be a great gift!

DIY – Chalkboard Wine Bottle Table Numbers. Made by Moms | Discover Paper. Sticks & Stones: A Frugal & Outdoorsy Valentine's Day Craft. February 14th is right around the corner, and this weekend it dawned on me that I needed to come up with a couple of no-frills Valentine’s Day gifts for my oh-so-frugal, mountain-man husband. I LOVE being surrounded by nature- in fact, living in Los Angeles, a regular diet of hiking, beach-walking and camping is what keeps me sane! Fortunately, I married someone who shares my appreciation of wide open spaces, so when I thought about what he might like for Valentine’s Day, it wasn’t an expensive, glossy box of chocolates, or even a store-bought card. (I happen to love those things and buy them for other people, but not for my husband.) For Valentine’s Day inspiration for my husband, I turned to some of the “natural treasures” we have around the house; little polished rocks and especially straight twigs- the things that find their way into our pockets while we’re out exploring.
