This is an impressive looking bit of ecommerce software, but needs a dedicated server to work properly. Also, there's no UK downloadable version, just the 'community' one off the main website. In the UK there only seems to be re-sellers who want to sell you a whole design and installation package with ongoing support. Will have to wait a bit for me to test out the community version to see how limiting it is. by Aug 13

This is a strange bit of ecommerce software. Initially it looks fantastic, having it's own desktop client, but it soon becomes apparent how limiting it can be with only a flat-html website. There are no dynamic features in Actinic - so no ability for shoppers to create accounts, etc. Still impressive in what it does, but only for smaller to mid size eshops. by Aug 13
