Discussing textures in Adobe Photoshop Elements (PSE) Geoff in Worthing, UK says: PSE has a range of textures - Filters > Texture > Texturiser - if you don't like the ones instantly available, which are probably 'Brick', 'Burlap', 'Canvas', 'Sandstone' and 'Montains 1', hit the little arrow to the right of the drop down box where the above are. That will give you "Load Texture" and you can load anything you want from your computer but if you look in c:/Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 6.0/Presets/Textures there are a lot more. (In PSE6 they are all in psd format, while in PSE4 they are in jpg format - you can download textures from all over the net but bear in mind the format required by your PSE version).
OK, that's the 'official' textures, (and beware - they can look very artificial) but you can use absolutely any other picture you like as a layer on your image and these could also be described as 'textures'. Good luck 75 months ago (permalink)
