Hanging Diamond Decor. Project, photos, and tutorial contributed by Kathleen of Snowdrop & Co. Now that June is upon us, it’s beginning to really feel like summer. These hanging diamond ornaments are a great way to offset that summer heat – don’t they remind you of ice cubes floating mid-air? Plus, with all the diamond-shaped products out there these days wouldn’t it be a blast to throw an icy cool diamond party this summer? I hope you won’t forget to send Sugar & Cloth an invitation! These DIY metallic diamonds are fun to hang as an overhead table centrepiece or for photo backdrops, but you could easily leave off the string for modern tabletop décor. Materials: Box of strawsSilver muffler tape (available at hardware stores and some dollar stores)Washi/masking tapeWooden skewerCotton stringScissorsMeasuring tapeAdditional string/thread if desired (for hanging completed diamonds) Step 1: Cut your straws to the desired lengths.

How to make jute, sisal, twine or cotton rope rugs Any natural material will work for this project. A coarse jute, twine or sisal will be perfect for an entrance hall, or next to a garden door, while a softer, cotton rope will be perfect for a bathroom or bedroom.
Once you have purchased a good supply of jute, sisal, twine or rope, you need to put together a drawing of how your mat will look once finished. The design will consist of small, medium and large circles that are joined together with a hot glue gun. Working on a flat surface, you will roll up your rug material into the shapes needed to complete the entire rug. Each circle will have a blob of hot glue at the starting and end points, as well as an 'X' shape across the back after you have wrapped a complete shape. When applying the glue, try to ensure that no glue is visible on the top of the material, as this will spoil the effect.

E-Board is super classy and I love it! The ironing board has five components that adhere and adapt to the garment that you are ironing. A controlling green knob allows you to split the board up for easy ironing of pants and wings out the sides for sleeves. Skirts, coats, trousers, shirts or any other thang, basically the board makes the mundane chore of ironing a whole lot easy. Clever integration of a hanger-stand and iron-stand, adds to the perks. Love! Designer: Mohsen Jafari Malek. Glowing Moon Rocks. For the Home / Tub Cleaner - vinegar and dish soap, no scrubbing! Heat 1/2C white vinegar in m'wave for 90 sec, pour int spray bottle. Start Here. I hope my site can offer you some encouragement and humor as you set out on the journey of creating organized solutions and systems that work specifically for you and your family. In addition to saving you time, money and sanity, organizing can also be fun, it can be addictive and it is most definitely pleasing to God (1 Cor 14:40). All terrific reasons to organize our spaces and our lives. I truly believe organizing is a PROCESS not a destination. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on things it’s time to do it all over again. Life happens. Kids outgrow their toys and clothes, your responsibilities and needs change, you have another child, you get married, a new job, etc.
I’m here to help. I’ve created an acronym to help you conquer any space or system easy and efficiently. PROCESS is defined as a series of actions used to produce something or reach a goal. That is what we want to do when organizing. The Organizing PROCESS is Your Force…Use It How to Get Organized Using PROCESS Steps. Lovely Little Snippets: Freezer Breakfast Burritos {Re-visited} I've posted about breakfast burritos for the freezer before, but if you know anything about me... you know I can't just leave things alone! But. I'm glad I redid these! They are SO good! My husband is loving having big, filling berritos each morning for breakfast! And I love knowing that he isn't eating sugared cereal to start off his day!
These are really pretty simple! I used... 21 eggs+a splash of milk +s&p + 1 cup spinach 18 slices of bacon fully cooked and cooled about 8 cups of hashbrowns shredded cheese burrito sized flour tortillas First I started by prepping all the ingredients; scrambling the eggs and spinach (the spinach is totally optional, but you cant taste it, and it just adds a litte more nutrition) cooking the bacon (I did it in the oven) frying the hashbrowms in a little butter and shredding the cheese (I used a food prosessor) Then, after everything had cooled, I set up my assembly line (pictured above) and started rolling!

Mint love social club: {bubble chandelier} When we first moved into the loft, I thought we would need a large statement light fixture to go above the dining room table. We were having a really hard time finding something that was “right.” The best options available in our price range were at Ikea and they all seemed so recognizable and rather boring.
Chris suggested we try to make a light based off a project in one of our old ReadyMade magazines. You can see the bubble chandelier that inspired ours in the ReadyMade archives here. How To Make a Flower Pot Table. Decahedron Himmeli Mobile. I know what you are thinking: Deck-a-wha? Here, let's break it down.... Decahedron: A polyhedron with ten flat faces. Apparently, there are sub-sets of decahedron too. This one is a pentagonal dipyramid decahedron. Just typing that sentence makes me feel pretty effin' mathtastic. Even though its origins lay in Finland, I know Himmeli as a form of Lithuanian folk art. Here in Chicago, where you can't hardly swing a dead cat without hitting someone Lithuanian, these little straw ornaments are crazy popular come Christmas time. And so what if they are a Christmas project? Materials:straight plastic straws, 16 per decahedron (snip off any bendy parts)*extra thin thing florist wire (I think mine here is 26 gauge)**scissorslong wooden BBQ skewers (optional)*Note: Traditional himmelis are made with a needle and thread.
**Note: I am using a variety of colored straws for the instructional purposes only. Think of the decahedron as a big fat star. Not that kind of joint. Ta da! Guest Post: Happy Mundane’s Jungalicious DIY Centerpiece. Hello! This is Jon, from Happy Mundane I’m so thrilled to be able to hang out in the Jungalow today. Since we’re currently in full-on “summer” mode, I wanted to share a super easy DIY centerpiece idea. You’ll just need some glass vases, a little fluorescent spray paint, tape, and some scratch sheets of paper. I started by picking up a set of these 3 pack “CYLINDER” vases from IKEA. You could also use whatever collection of glass vases you have on hand (different shaped bottles, old drinking cups, jars, etc…) Mask off a fairly wide stripe. When it comes to spraying, don’t bring the spray can too close. When it’s all dry, carefully remove the tape.
To finish it off, I got an inexpensive “tropical” bouquet at the grocery store and separated the flowers into the different vases. Please stop by Happy Mundane (happymundane.com) for more musings as well as another quick project I did using the left over spray paint from this one! VanHook & Co.: Topping a table with zinc sheet metal. First is measuring of course. And the zinc comes in sheets which have a plastic protective sheet on one side (you'll see it in some of the other photos) This is the adhesive that attaches the sheet metal to the surface...it helps eliminate any "bounce" between the table top and the metal... The clamps are there to hold the metal down nice and tight and then my husband had some boxes on it to weight it down in the center as well.
The piece of narrow wood on top of the table is just added protection against marring the surface of the metal from the clamps... The corners are trimmed and on this one it was a little tricky since they were rounded....he trimmed more out later as you'll see further down.... Now he's using a "slapper" hammer which is wood covered in a heavy piece of leather... Here you can see how he trimmed more out of the corners so they would lay nice and smooth...all of this will get soldered so it covers all those gaps... Here's the first corner ready to be filed... *Likes: (3)* 25 DIY Wall Art Ideas. Are you staring at blank walls, wondering how to fill the empty space? We've learned the hard way that there's some very important things that should be checked before signing the papers to buy a new home. Of course, you'll have a pro do an inspection and look over the place to make sure you're termite and flood damage free, but these 10 things fall into a different category; the immediate to-do list, which is something you may not want to be adding to right now.
Even though there will always be cosmetic changes to make to a new home, trying to avoid costly repairs upon first moving in is always wise. Being able to save that money for the dining table of your dreams (or simply for gas and groceries!) Is a big deal. Here's a few things we suggest checking before you sign the papers and inherit all of the previous tenants past problems. 1. Clean My Space | Blog – Clean Your Canvas Shoes! (Toms & Keds) On the TOMS website, it says: We highly recommend hand washing TOMS in cold water with a gentle detergent and let them air dry. We do NOT recommend putting TOMS in the dryer under any circumstances. While hand washing would do the job, let me show you a shortcut to save some time but you HAVE to be careful when you do this, people. If you throw caution to the wind, you could ruin the shape as well as the adhesive of the shoe and that’ll make you sad.
I agree about not putting them in a dryer, but they didn’t say anything about a washing machine!
