Why You NEED To Get Up Earlier (And How To Do It!)  WHY YOU NEED TO GET UP EARLIER (AND HOW TO DO IT!)

Why You NEED To Get Up Earlier (And How To Do It!)

It's simply ingrained into us - If we want to be successful, we need to be working when others are not. It's like the classic running quote: "Somewhere, right now, someone is training while you are not. So I get up early because I believe it's worth it. It's time to wake up... Top ten reasons to get up early every day: 10) Learn! 9) This early, it really IS all about you. 8) We're not as big as we think we are. 7) You’re automatically early. 6) EAT! 5) Speaking of exercise...

Elle.com Loses Over Half of Its Editorial Team

Everyone’s jumping ship! As a few media outlets have already reported, Keith Pollock, Elle.com‘s editorial director, is leaving to become editor in chief of Du Jour–a new digital and print editorial publication launching in collaboration with Gilt Groupe. What we didn’t know until recently is that he will be bringing Elle.com’s market editor, Sydney Wasserman, and art director Stephanie Jones, with him to his new gig (Jones will be the art director, Wasserman the senior market editor). So that’s about half of Elle.com’s editorial staff right there. And that’s not all… Britt Aboutaleb, former editor of this site and Elle.com’s fashion news editor, is not only leaving Elle–she’s leaving New York! While everyone at this office–and probably Elle‘s as well–is sad to see her go, it sounds like exciting things are happening at our favorite go-to celeb fashion site and Britt will no doubt be a positive addition. Coke's Marketing Budget to Rise by $400 Mil.

Neville Isdell today said the company will increase its global marketing expeditures by $350-400 million in 2005 and successive years. Most of that money will be spent outside North America in high-growth markets such as Brazil, China, India and Russia, he said. Isdell discussed the increase today in a presentation to Wall Street analysts. He laid out a plan he called "The Coca-Cola Manifesto for Change. " He promised global volume growth over the long term, a clear point of view in the company's marketing, an increase in morale and cultivation of talent within the company's ranks. "This is something I believe this company deserves," Isdell said in opening remarks to about 200 analysts, consultants and business reporters who attended. The Atlanta-based company annually has spent an estimated $1 billion in global measured media. Spotify Launches Brand Apps.

Music Festival Tech Changes Drastically Since Woodstock [INFOGRAPHIC] Concerts have changed a lot since the Woodstock days of the late 1960s. Here's an infographic that compares how technology is used by fans at music festivals such as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California compared to the iconic Woodstock festival held in 1969.

Now, concerts incorporate lots of advanced technology. Not only do some shows include holographic images of deceased artists and boast interactivity such as texting song requests to bands in real time, but it's far easier to connect with family and friends back home than ever. Advertisingweek.

When Spotify launched in the US, after gaining much popularity in Europe, it went viral almost immediately by relying on automatic integration with Facebook to get people sharing what they were listening to.

Spotify Makes Ad Impressions Count

But research from eye-tracking study firm EyeTrackShop suggests Spotify may not feel so reliant on Facebook integration anymore, now that it’s achieved mass status. The site has shunted Facebook controls to a little-trafficked corner of the screen and the friends’ listening feed to a sidebar, while maintaining prime real estate for ads. The Spotify starting page features a large ad in its center-top position, something seen by 100% of participants in EyeTrackShop’s February 2012 study. This ad was the first thing viewers glanced at, with only 0.4 seconds elapsing before they noticed it, and it grabbed their attention for a full 4 seconds—longer than any other element on the page, including music controls.
