I once thought that the Truth was a set comprised of all the things that were true, and the big truth could be obtained by taking all its component propositions and evaluating them until nothing remained.
I would approach my rhetorical battles as a logical reductionist, tearing down, atomizing, proving, disproving, discarding falsehoods and reassembling truths until the Truth was pure, golden and unarguable. Arno Münster consacre un livre à ce grand penseur de notre temps. Le philosophe André Gorz s’est suicidé avec sa femme Dorine, il y a plus d’un an, le 24 septembre 2007 ; ce n’est rien de dire qu’il nous manque, à l’heure où tout ce qu’il a décrit est en train de se réaliser. Dans le petit livre que lui consacre aujourd’hui Arno Münster, André Gorz ou le socialisme difficile, sorte de vademecum de sa pensée, il y a des passages rédigés au conditionnel : un conditionnel qui, aujourd’hui, n’a plus raison d’être. Ou bien encore : « La course à la productivité et au profit tend toujours à s’accélérer, tandis que le niveau et la masse des salaires tend à diminuer. Gorz ne croyait pas en la révolution.
