You don’t necessarily need to be in an actual photo booth to get the same results; all you need is a little creativity! Set up a backdrop with either sheets or curtains and have a tripod or some other support for your camera. Set the auto timer and snap away! If you prefer, have a friend take the photos for you, like Amber and Jimmy did. They picked the four pictures they liked best and gave them to another friend who put them in a photo booth format using Adobe Photoshop, and converted the photos to black and white–all except for the letters and the sign. If you are a little more computer savvy or know of a friend that is, and have access to Photoshop or similar software, you can pose for your pictures and pretend to be holding the letters instead of actually making them for your photos.

DIY Bridesmaids Cards

I sent out a cards for my own wedding so that inspired me to come up with a cute project to do the same. I adore the paper chain people that we all learned to make in grade school and this project uses that simple concept to introduce your bridesmaids to everyone. Cut out the shape of the dress you plan on using in the color you desire and personalize each person with some paper hair. To complete the set I created a little card asking “Will you be my bridesmaid?” And included the wedding details as well as how and where to order the dresses.

Enjoy! {via Martha Stewart Weddings} Send children on a photo scavenger hunt with this game of i-spy! They have to spot a variety of typical wedding day occurrences / outfits and tick them off on their list. This works really well for older children 7-11 who will be able to do this independently but younger children will need adult help or help from older siblings. {I recommend using pencils rather than felt tips as you could end up with felt tip stains all over their hands, clothes and the table cloths ~ and you wouldn’t want felt tips anywhere near your pristine white dress!} If you wanted to, you could provide a little incentive such as a small bag of sweets or a pound shop toy for the first child to find all the things on the list or simply give the treats to the children’s parents for them to hand out as they see fit.
