The 'Field Guide to the meeting troll' by @ThisIsSethsBlog is fabulous. Thanks. Oi You! Yeah, that's right. This urban art festival is bringing Banksy's work to #Adelaide. George Shaw, a self-described ageing punk, says buying a loud shirt back in 2005 at his wife’s urging led to an obsession that changed their lives forever.

Oi You! Yeah, that's right. This urban art festival is bringing Banksy's work to #Adelaide.

He picked up the well-cut shirt – with green felt running down the sleeves and a plasticised stencil on the back – in a UK boutique to wear to a friend’s 40th birthday bash. When some lads from Bristol mentioned that the stencilling on the shirt was reminiscent of the rogue street artist Banksy, who cut his teeth on the rough Bristol streets, Shaw’s curiosity piqued. “I thought Banksy sounded like my kind of guy,” said Shaw. “Through a hangover the next day, I Googled Banksy and I felt a rush. I was so excited – it was the first artwork that I really related to. SA Scholarships: work health/safety to benefit women. Funding initiatives to improve work health and safety for women at work.

SA Scholarships: work health/safety to benefit women

Augusta Zadow was an advocate for women's rights in the workplace and became South Australia's 'First Lady Inspector of Factories' in 1895. She was a woman ahead of her time, with many of the working conditions women enjoy today attributable to her. In recognition of her work, SafeWork SA provides two $10,000 scholarships for projects that will further improve work health and safety for women at work: be that a practical solution, research or further education. Use of scholarships. Oh. My. Grud. Finally! The first few TEDxAdelaideWomen videos are online. Yippeee. Now I can share.

Axe the tampon tax! (and the campaign tag line, 'There’s no womb in society for a tampon tax' Ugh.) #BloodyOutrage

Having a tax on sanitary items is absolutely unacceptable. Despite John Howard's remarks in 2000 on the implementation of the tax, charging women as a direct result of their basic biology is hugely and fundamentally sexist - especially given that condoms are classified as GST free essential health... Sensors to monitor the aged: possibilities if used ethically and 'is perceived safety more important than privacy?'

Source: AFP FAMILIES would be able to remotely monitor elderly relatives using high-tech sensors that check everything from when they leave their house to how often they turn on their taps and lights. The sophisticated scheme, which will be trialled by the Federal Government over the year, would also measure heat in the kitchen or bathroom and could also capture medical conditions with connected biomedical devices. Developed by the CSIRO, the broadband technology will use up to a dozen sensors the size of a wristwatch around a person's residence and is designed to make sure elderly people can stay in their homes longer and give peace of mind to their families. The CSIRO will trial the sensors in the units of a group of about 20 elderly people living in Armidale, NSW, over the next year. But if successful, the trial could become a key feature of the National Broadband Network. Gee-ay-Gee Gee-El this ad is a handy mnemonic device to 'splain how to spell your surname @leogaggl.
