This was my first attempt at needle felting an animal. I followed the tutorial previously referenced in the “little nest” post. I photographed the steps as shown below. 1) First I Google Image searched “bluebird” and printed out a visual reference. I needle felted the basic body shape in white. 2) Next I added blue detail on the head and back. 3) I needle felted the tail separately until I was happy with the shape, then overlapped it onto the back. 4) Red detail added to the breast. 5) Wings made separately as done with the tail.
