You need fine white and red yarn, some PVA glue and a suitable surface to stick the tacks on in the shape you need. We used a bulletin board which we wrapped in clingfilm to prevent the glue from damaging its surface. We wound the triangles one by one. Each side is about 5cm long. Brush over the stars well with diluted PVA glue. Then we come to the most delicate task – tying the red yarn. Crepe Paper Petals Wall Hanging. Torans are so fun – the patterns and colors are super cheerful. There are a million ways to use this technique – you can make a wall hanging, garlands, bunting, leis, etc., and you can scale them to suit whatever space you’re decorating. They would look great as a backdrop at a party or wedding! You will need: a wooden dowel (available at your local hardware store and they should be able to cut it to whatever size you want – I used a 3/4″ wide by 24″ long dowel), crepe paper in various colors, string , clothespin clips , scissors , screw punch , pen, and (optional) wooden beads (I had some painted pink ones leftover from another project) Step 1: To speed up cutting out petals, fold crepe paper lengthwise into a stack that’s about 2″ wide, with about six layers.
