In August 2012, "Promises" achieved gold status in the United States. On 10 February 2013, Nero won a Grammy for their collaborative remix of "Promises" with Skrillex.[3] Nero's debut release was "Space 2001" as part of the "Straight Outta Leicester" three piece vinyl LP on Reformed Recordings in 2004. Nero's debut dubstep release was "This Way. " The band are managed by Three Six Zero Group. Nero composed an orchestral piece known as The Dubstep Symphony (later officially titled 'Symphony 2808'), performed by the duo in collaboration with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Joe Duddell on BBC Radio 1 on 6 June 2011.[9] "Won't You (Be There)" was released as a free download on 24 September 2012 via their official website.

Martin Stääf (born 13 November 1978), aka Liquid Stranger, is a Swedish-born electronic musician, described by Generation Bass as ”the epitome of Transnational Dubstep covering everything from Latin, Asian, Eastern European and Jamaican Dancehall dubs.”[1] Martin Stääf is known for his experimental approach to composition where he merges genres to create a unique style of music.

Excision (musician) Jeff Abel, better known by his stage name Excision, is a dubstep producer and DJ from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

Abel recently founded another label "Destroid Records", upon its debut release a full length digital album was released with the majority of tracks by Excision himself and collaborations with other artists such as Downlink, Space Laces, Far Too Loud, Bassnectar and Ajapai. Another single was released in December 2013 by Excision & Space Laces entitled "Get Stupid". There are more releases scheduled to be released on Destroid Records. Datsik (musician) Caspa. Biography[edit] McCann's creative involvement in music began after a promising basketball career was cut short by a shoulder injury.[1] He received his first public attention when, his first track, Bassbins recorded under the pseudonym Quiet Storm, was picked up by BBC Radio 1Xtra's DJ Da Flex.[2] In August 2012, it was announced that Caspa and various notable electronic music producers would be featured on the Halo 4 remix album.[6]

Shaun has also produced drum and bass under the aliases Sounds Destructive (with Zachary Kemp, currently known as Trolley Snatcha), Slum Dogz (with DJ Swan-E and Krafty MC) and DJ Picto (or simply Picto). Will studied History of Art at the University of Manchester, while Saul studied English and Humanities at Manchester Metropolitan University. Bassnectar is the stage name of Lorin Ashton, a freeform electronic music producer and DJ based in Santa Cruz, California.[1] He is best known for his live performances, light shows, and community engagement.[2] Musical style and influences[edit] Bassnectar experienced an immediate sense of welcome and comfort going to raves in the mid-nineties, which led to the confluence of his heavy and electronic style of music.[5] He has been creating genre-bending music since the 1990s, using a variety of programs such as Vision/OpCode, Reason, and Ableton Live.[6][7] Bassnectar describes his music as amorphous and ever-changing, which is reflected in the diverse sounds and personalities of his numerous albums, EPs, and podcasts.

Tours and live performances[edit] Bassnectar is distinguished by his live performances and light shows. Benga (musician) Benga (born Adegbenga Adejumo, 28 November 1986) is a British[1] person from Croydon, known for being one of the pioneers of dubstep record production.[2] As a teenager he used to hang out at the Big Apple record shop in Croydon and make his own tunes at home on PlayStation.[3] The tunes caught the attention of dubstep producer Hatcha, who worked at the shop, and by the age of 15 Benga had made his first record, "Skank", released on Big Apple's own record label.[4] He was also one of the first dubstep producers when the style was emerging in the early 2000s.[5] He has been featured on a variety of compilations including Mary Anne Hobbs's Warrior Dubz, Tempa's The Roots of Dubstep and the BBC Radio 1Xtra anniversary mix.
