Il a été chargé du dossier de Jérusalem pour l' OLP et au sein de l’ Autorité palestinienne jusqu'en 2002.

Le sujet a déjà fait la "une" de la presse israélienne. Après une année 2008 déjà critique, Israël et le territoires palestiniens se préparent à une nouvelle sécheresse compte tenu de la faiblesse des précipitations mesurées jusqu'à présent.
L'eau est rarement mentionnée lorsque les dossiers principaux du conflit israélo-palestinien sont passés en revue. Ce blog n'est souvent pas plus inspiré sur le sujet (lire ici une exception à cette règle tacite). Il faut donc saluer la parution d'un ouvrage paru aux éditions Delevilla, en septembre (Les guerres de l'eau, de Frédéric Lasserre, préfacé par Michel Rocard), qui livre une batterie de chiffres intéressants au chapitre "La paix avec les Palestiniens...sans l'eau?"
