Permaculture consciousness is about mapping, getting conscious of the land on which you live and the elements, plants, animals, energies and patterns that dwell there or pass through there across the seasons. Ideally this includes a base map, plant list, animal list, zone map, sun microsectors and seasonal sector maps. The Gaiacraft Permaculture Design Course is a 14 month learning experience including a year long mapping project. Here are some maps from celebrated graduates from the program.
