All Eyes on Me – 100 Creative Eye Close-up Photos « Design Signal – Your Ultimate Design Destination! Sep30 Our outer and inner worlds are reflected in our eyes, that’s something we all know since we were little kids. It’s a unique thing that opens doors into some misterious and unknown worlds that are full of magic and secrets. People are always free to choose in what colors they prefer to see the world: pink glasses will make outward things seem aerial and romantic, while black glasses will dip you into the abyss of despair. Only your eyes will tell the truth to the world and will reflect everything that’s in fact happening to you. To tell you the truth, this post was initially intended as a collection of make-up designs made on eyes. However while searching for images of makeup design I’ve notice that there are tons and tons of other creative photos of eyes that I thought you definitely should see.

A wedding photographer by day, he's used to capturing some of the most important moments in a couple's lives. As a longtime fan of Jason's photos on Flickr however, I think the real magic happens when he turns the camera onto his daughters. Sure, his children are adorably cute in their own right, but that's not what makes his photos so interesting. It's when he puts his own spin on their everyday moments that we not only get to experience our own childhood again, we're able to see a father's pride shine through. I was able to get in touch with Jason to ask him a few questions. Read that short interview, below, after seeing some of his wonderfully creative photos. Q: How did you get into photography? Q: How do you come up with such creative photos of your daughters? Q: How has being on Flickr helped you with your business? Q: Any inspirational stories you'd like to share? Captured: The Ruins of Detroit | Plog — World news photography, Photos. Posted Feb 07, 2011 Share This Gallery inShare850 Up and down Detroit’s streets, buildings stand abandoned and in ruin. French photographers Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre set out to document the decline of an American city.

Their book “The Ruins of Detroit“, a document of decaying buildings frozen in time, was published in December 2010. From the photographers’ website: Ruins are the visible symbols and landmarks of our societies and their changes, small pieces of history in suspension. The state of ruin is essentially a temporary situation that happens at some point, the volatile result of change of era and the fall of empires.

Photography appeared to us as a modest way to keep a little bit of this ephemeral state. Using multiple layers of clear glass, Canada based David Spriggs and Chinese born Xia Xiaowan, transform flat artwork into 3D sculptures.

Viewers are treated to different shifting perspectives of the works based on where they stand in the art space. Spriggs work revolves around powerful explosive imagery, often resembling storms, cosmic blasts or firework like explosions. Xiawan’s “spatial paintings,” which often feature distorted figures, are drawn individually using colored pencil on tinted glass. Only when these pieces are combined on their floor racks do the images create the whole hologram like effect.
