Day 338 A long, long time ago, in a land far away from Las Vegas, there was a redheaded girl who worked at a newspaper. She was young, just having finished her first year of college, and for her summer job, she got the chance to work for the Arenac County Independent.>How-To: Newsprint Manicure | A Pretty Penny
I saw this newsprint manicure over on The Daily Nail and thought it was adorable (especially for bookworms and word lovers like myself). I did a little Google detective work to see how to recreate it, and was surprised at how easy it is! All of the tutorials I found called for vodka or other clear distilled spirits, but we were fresh out. I used isopropyl alcohol instead, and it seemed to get the job done.Love Life Family...and then some Houston Texas Mom Blogger Never Miss a Single Post Not Found, Error 404 The page you are looking for no longer exists.

Festive Holiday Nails ~ Glitter Stripes
Another fun Martha Stewart glitter glue manicure ! Stripes would be almost impossible for me to do without these easy squeezy tubes! I swear this stuff comes in so handy { hehe -no pun intended } for so many projects. My husband LOVES when my nails are painted and if you're a long-time reader, you know why ;) so doing them to share here, with you, is just an added bonus. Sometimes I need dual motivation to succeed at certain tasks or it's just not worth my time. But I'll admit I've been loving all my fun manicures as of late. I wanted something bright and festive and fun for New Year's Eve and didn't want to stick to just gold or just silver so I combined the two by painting half of my nail with one and the other half, with the other. It's similar to my glitter stripe manicures but covers the entire nail. I'm sure you could also layer one over the other but I thought it'd be a bit too thick... and anyone who has used these glitter polishes knows what a headache they are to get off so I thought I'd do half and half.
