No one was really surprised when Marvel announced that god among geeks and international man of mystery Joss Whedon would have a whole lot more to do with the Marvel cinematic universe in the near future. Over-joyed, certainly, and in the case of many Browncoats, a relieved in a bittersweet sort of way. None of us were truly surprised to learn that Whedon will be writing and directing "The Avengers" sequel.
What seemed too good to be true was the news that Whedon has also signed on to help develop a TV show with ABC set in the Marvel cinematic universe. This abundance of surprising good fortune was followed up immediately by the question: What will the TV show be about? With a comics franchise as large as Marvel's, the possibilities seem endless.
