dentsu: paint sound sculptures

http://www.designboom.com/weblog/cat/10/view/11774/dentsu-paint-sound-sculptures.html first image dentsu: paint sound sculptures the creative studio dentsu, teamed up with photographer linden gledhill to create this series of paint sculptures using sound vibrations. the series was part of a campaign for canon’s pixma ink printer brand. the photographs and videos begin by wrapping a membrane around a small speaker. ink drops were placed on this membrane and the speaker was turned on. once it began to vibrate the ink begins to jump up and down. high-speed video cameras and still cameras were used to capture this including circling around the sculptures to see them from all angles. experimenting with different sounds and frequencies created the various pieces. http://www.dentsu.com

TRIANGULATION BLOG: SOUND

http://www.triangulationblog.com/search/label/SOUND I'm discovering good stuff by renting some video art lately. I will post here my favorites still images or videos if they are also online. This one called Modulate 5.1 is a collection of sonic visual pieces, exploring movement, colour, shape, non-verbal expression, internal journeys and spatial awareness. A collaborative project released in 2006 between Mark Bunegar, Mark Harris, Scylla Magda, Bobby Bird and Joseph Potts.
Pe Lang , 1974, Switzerland is a sound artist based in Zurich and Berlin. His work includes sound installations, live performances and compositions based on elegant and minimal kinetic systems, combined with different devices created by himself, which most of them are used as sources of sound. Maybe his works remind you of Zimoun 's works and style, I think so, they both are working in the same way and using a similar aesthetic, ordered and very cleaned.

I propose the banning of escalators to a) reduce the amount of electricity (and thus green house gas emmissions) and b) get tubby people on the move. 2 birds, 1 stone. magnum for president. magnum , Thu 8 Oct 2009, 12:04, Reply ) Lolly?
