For many eLearning professionals, bite-sized has always been the right size. Imagine it, more useful content that fits smaller screens or just about any screen. Learners can work on any platform, switch back from their mobile device to the desktop, anytime. Snackable content also makes it easier for them to savor every lesson step after step—something that's not possible with lengthy materials.
Offer your audience light, short yet substantial content. They'll surely come back for more. Brad Cohen, Director of Strategy at JESS3, said it best: “Bite sized nuggets of content that are easy to consume, sometimes they're images or image-based, whose meaning can be grasped quickly, and often create deeper meaning by referencing shared experience or shared stories.
This statement explains the rationale behind the current trend that swept the eLearning industry. There are many good reasons learners seek out useful information in small chunks. 1. Ya hay una versión más reciente de la Rueda de la Pedagogía en español y que puede ser descargada desde este enlace: con la revisión y anotaciones del profesor Allan Carrington. Desde hace varios años han aparecido interesantes modelos de aplicación de la Taxonomía de Bloom, la mayoría muy buenos pero casi todos en inglés. Entre todas esas adaptaciones sin duda las del Dr. Andrew Churches con la Taxonomía de Bloom para la Era Digital y Allan Carrington han sido, para mi gusto las mejores de todas. Con Allan Carrington tuve el gusto de conversar en un grupo de Linkedin y solicité su permiso para traducir la “Padagogy Wheel“, (Rueda de la pedagogía) misma que está liberada bajo una licencia Creative Commons. Después de haber dejado el proyecto a un lado por mucho tiempo finalmente me senté durante cuatro horas y con la ayuda de Adobe Acrobat nos dimos a la tarea de traducir parte de la rueda. Es una traducción libre y sujeta a mejora por supuesto.
