http://www.gadling.com/2010/10/25/top-ten-hostels-in-europe/ Staying in a hostel in Europe is a rite of passage for budget-conscious travelers making their way around the continent. This is particularly the case for budget-conscious younger travelers. Here are ten hostels across Europe that either receive particularly high user-review grades or are notorious enough in one or another way to be noteworthy. St.

Everyone is looking for something different in their hotel experience—some crave numerous amenities; some look for a spot with interesting architecture or an otherwise unforgettable space; and some just want a cheap bed to crash on. The funky hotel Huettenpalast in Berlin delivers on all three of those, which makes it a must visit in my book. You can stay in their hotel rooms or book one of the three indoor caravans and huts featured here for a more unconventional sleep experience. Equal parts campgound, art installation, and childhood fort, this cluster of “rooms” seems too cool to pass up—luckily they cost only 60 euros ($85) a night. http://anthologymag.com/blog3/2011/08/09/huetten-palast-hotel/

Alila Villas Soori - Bali

Our search for much-needed calm, relaxation and revitalization ended earlier this month in Bali, Indonesia, where we spent two blissful weeks. If you, too, want to give your weary body and mind a complete vacation, head to Southeast Asia where they really know how to do luxury relaxation well. They understand design; they set the trends. Some of the most luxurious resorts we have experienced have been in this region. We’d seen the huge amount of media coverage of two Alila Villas properties — Alila Villas Soori and Alila Villas Uluwatu — and we wanted to experience them first-hand.

I stayed in a really old hotel last night. They sent me a wake-up letter. Vidago Palace Hotel below may look very antique, but I bet it has fine pieces of furniture and stylish accessories in the bathrooms. They wanted to avoid a luxurious impact and to be more discrete yet with a modern touch for the interior design. http://www.designrulz.com/spaces-for-living/bathroom-product-design/2011/02/guy-dittrich-photograph-courtesy-of-vidago-palace/

Abu Dhabi – an archipelago of nearly 200 separate islands where luxury and style are infused with traditional values of hospitality and respect. Sunny weather, tranquil beaches, lush oases, vibrant city life, and a mixture of culture and traditions come together to create a holiday experience like no other. Explore the emirate’s old souks, sip a fragrant Arabic coffee, ride the dunes on an exhilarating desert safari, or dive into a dazzling marine life - there is something for everyone in Abu Dhabi. A number of the Islands merit special attention: Yas Island is the emirate’s sports and leisure centre.
The hotel is place on a site with a very rich history and central location. For an economic mind, the tourism can be an important engine of the local economy. The old building was converted into a hotel with conference facilities. The new project isn’t only a hotel building; it consists of two parts: the renovation of the three historic buildings on the Hoogstraat and a new development on the Groene Rei. The new addition to the cityscape of Bruges is very welcomed, like a treasure chest set with gems.

In keeping with our Middle East theme, we thought we’d share a unique (perhaps magical?) lodging in Turkey . The Sacred House is a 250 Greek mansion that evokes stories told about once upon a time. Modeled from caves where history, art and modern comforts meet, the certainly provide a certain old-world charm not found in your average hotel . Take a look around the medievally appointed ambiance.
