I use the Airport Express because sadly, tethering with my Droid Bionic has been less than stellar, and often my devices fall off when I use my Bionic as a hotspot. Plus, when I travel with friends, I bring the Wi-Fi network for everyone, and plug the hotel or convention center's connection into it and dole it out for everyone to use. :) When I just need a quick tether though, or I have no hard-wired connection, or those hotels charge me an arm and a leg for access, I definitely use my phone.
