Continental Travel Contact Bike Tyre - 26" x 1.75" I bought these the back end of last summer when Halfords had a special offer (3 for 2 of 20%, I forget now) on and they've been sitting in my garage since. Decided to replace the Kenda Kinetics (26x2.1) which were the original tyres on my bike (Giant Revel 3). They still had loads of tread, but I wanted to see if there was a marked difference with semi-slick tyres.
I only wish I'd done it as soon as I got the bike! I ride purely for leisure/fun so probably 95% of my riding is on pavements/road and the difference in speed and the amount of pedalling/energy needed to keep going is unbelievable. My cycle computer had me casually trundling along the flats at around 7-8mph with noticable resistance when pedalling with the Kenda's. With the Continentals that same speed is an almost effortless and a comfortable rolling speed is now around 10mph. When I stop pedalling too the difference is night and day. Tyre noise has all but disappeared too. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Schwalbe City Jet MTB Tyre MTB Slick Tyres.

Hi, Part of my commute is along 6 miles of a dissused and converted railway line and I feel my current MTB tyres are a little overkill. Would these be OK for regular use on medium to fine gravel track? Roughly two thirds of my 6 mile ride is along trail alongside the river and they perform really well in wet and loose conditions, a bit of caution is required for sharp turns when the ground is dry and hard as the gravel can slide a bit, but I would recommend the tyres as a good option.
