The Noshery - Steak with Mushrooms, Mash Potatoes &038; Creamed Spinach. It was late in the day and I had just left the dentist, after receiving the wonderful news that I needed a filling repaired and a wisdom tooth extracted.

The Noshery - Steak with Mushrooms, Mash Potatoes &038; Creamed Spinach

YEAH! I zoomed across town and made my way to the grocery store to grab something to make for dinner. As to what I was making, I had not clue. I knew I didn’t have time for roasting, pureeing or peeling. It needed to be simple stupid and satisfying. That is when I thought of a steak dinner. I ran into the store, grabbed a shopping cart and dash down the aisles. Okay, okay….I didn’t run over a small child, knock over an old lady or cut off a frazzled mother trying to get to the checkout line. But just as quickly as I ran though the grocery store collecting my needed items you can toss together this delicious meal. I started with some creamed spinach on the lighter side. Remove large stems from spinach, and rinse with cold water; drain and set aside Thinly slice the base of a leek. Add the spinach to the pan. 414 Crock Pot Recipes.

Shredded Beef and Chile Enchiladas ~ Recipes by Amandas Cookin. It’s no secret that I love Mexican food. I don’t mean enchiladas made with condensed soup or tacos made with powdered taco seasoning packets. I love authentic Mexican flavors; fresh cilantro, roasted chile peppers, and plenty of fresh grated cheese. Earlier this year I found one of those BHG special interest publications called Ultimate Mexican. I’ve made several recipes from it. You might remember the sweet conchas (Mexican sweet bread), or the champurrado (thick Mexican hot chocolate), or the delicious spicy grilled chicken with baja black beans and rice. This recipe for beef enchiladas, one of five different varieties featured, is no exception. Steak au Poivre - The Showstopper. I have a comment on this comment, then I have a comment for the OP.

Steak au Poivre - The Showstopper

To Amy: Removing to foil is simply a way to keep the steaks warm whilst resting (FOR 5 MINUTES AT LEAST… ALWAYYYS!). When the OP says remove to foil, he/she doesn’t mean to wrap them tightly. They mean to place them in a plate, and form a loose ‘covering’ of foil. This will simply trap some of the heat and allow it to remain warm, without trapping too much moisture. To the OP and to anyone else who decides to try ‘flambe’: It is important to note: When you add cognac or any other high proof liquour to a hot pan, then ignite, you are not burning the alcohol itself, per se. . - Never light alcohol while there is an open flame/heat source. . - Notice how in the OP, they remove the pan from the stove and then light. . - Keep a heavy lidded pan nearby, just in case things Do go awry (if you follow the first 2 tips, they won’t) Ramen Hacks: 30+ Easy Ways to Upgrade Your Instant Noodles.

Ramen Hacks: 30+ Easy Ways to Upgrade Your Instant Noodles

Kenji Lopez-Alt] Ramen in the U.S. has come a long way. Once known only in its 10-for-a-dollar instant-lunch form—a staple of offices and dorm rooms all around the '80s and '90s—high-end real ramen shops are springing up left and right on both coasts and everywhere in between. "Stuffed" Rolls (Homemade Kolaches) Up until this past weekend, I had never eaten nor even heard of a kolache. When my son and daughter-in-law came from Ohio for Thanksgiving, they stopped in Indianapolis at the Kolache Factory and purchased a dozen different kolaches for us to try on Thanksgiving morning. I fell in love with them immediately and knew that I'd have to try to recreate this delicious little stuffed sandwich in my own kitchen. In every aspect, these homemade kolaches were crafted from leftovers. I used Frieda's dinner roll recipe for my Thanksgiving dinner rolls and had leftover dough balls in the freezer.

The roast beef and caramelized onions were from a French dip pizza I served during the game on Saturday, and the stuffing, gravy and turkey were of course leftover from Thanksgiving. This is not an actual recipe but more of a method, and by knowing the method, you'll be able to use whatever stuffing combination you'd like to make your own kolaches. Who said real men don't cook? Tomato Soup Grilled Cheese. {Created/photographed by With Style and Grace} Growing up, this is my hands down, favorite comfort meal, tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich.

Maybe it was all the bread and cheese I consumed that had me develope allergies to dairy and gluten? Whatever, it was totally worth it. Good news, this soup is DAIRY-FREE! If you have dairy allergies you know that most soups, especially those at a restaurant are made with dairy. Lime Chicken Tacos Recipe. There are so many different ways to make tacos but lime chicken tacos are some of the best.

These tacos are a delicious and light meal, great for summertime. The flavors of lime and various seasonings blend perfectly with the chicken. You can cook the chicken just in the pan or leave it whole, grill it, slice it and then transfer it into the pan for a few minutes. These delicious tacos will only take about 30 minutes total to prepare.

Some of the condiments you could add are lettuce, tomato, salad, sour cream or whatever you like. I love to make my own taquitos and flautas at home. These are taquitos made with black beans, chicken breast and cheese. I baked them in the oven until crispy. In my kitchen, a taquito is made with a corn tortilla, and a flauta is made with a flour tortilla.

Most people refer to them this way, but the terms can be used interchangeably too and sometimes refer to other characteristics that you can read more about here. I will go back and forth making each one. You can use any type of beans you like in this recipe. Baking Obsession - Stuffed Baguette.
