Bootstrap Rising - Anil Dash

Twitter's Bootstrap framework for creating web sites and apps is the culmination of half a decade's work by the web design community in creating CSS resets, grid systems and toolkits for easily building flexible, adaptable websites. While Bootstrap is only a minor evolution over past efforts such as Blueprint or the 960 grid from a technical standpoint, Bootstrap's polish, rapid adoption, endorsement by Twitter, and vibrant community leave it poised to have more significant impact than perhaps all such previous efforts combined.
Erik has previously posted about how we currently use Boxes and Views Boxes for inline editing and a much more powerful approach to dealing with customizing blocks. When you combine that with Context Field, you can effectively have a highly flexible way to administer page layouts and curating content that is still elegant enough for editors and site builders. This walkthrough is a demonstration of how to set things up for this purpose, and it's only one use case.

agile approach | Responsive Design’s Impact on Your Project Process

When people think “responsive design” (if you’re unfamiliar with the topic check out this article & this one ) they usually think about all the work during front-end development like creating a flexible grid for the site, setting up styles for variable-width images and video, using media queries, etc. Something we’ve been working through at Phase2 is how designing responsively affects the other areas of our process. We’ve by no means arrived at perfect solutions, but we have discovered ways that responsive design affects a lot of the pieces we use to build effective sites for our clients. http://www.agileapproach.com/blog-entry/responsive-design-s-impact-your-project-process

Drupalcon London - Drupal Estimation Techniques BoF | Bluespark Labs

We asked a series of questions at the beginning of the BoF hoping to spark conversation. The goal of this BoF was to understand the challenges the participants face, and how they addressed them (successfully and unsuccessfully). We decided to hold this BoF because the Drupalcon sessions didn't specifically address these issues this year, and Jakob and I are both very interested in maintaining conversation about them.
