So I didn't make any treats today but only because I've been so addicted to Pintrest lately that I don't have time to get off my booty and go bake anything because I keep pinning a ton of things I want to make!
I guess that's probably a good thing since I have finally decided that I want to try and get my baby weight off and I don't necessarily need to be making delicious Oreo goodies! At any rate, below are three different recipes that I am dying to try that involve Oreos! The reason I'm focusing on Oreos is because Fred Meyer's coupon of the day for their cartbuster event is $1.50 of any 1 package of Oreo cookies! Photo by CIA/Keith Ferris yield Makes 8 servings active time 40 minutes Scotch bonnets, along with the closely related (and equally potent) Jamaican hots and habaneros, are small, fiery-hot chiles that are irregularly shaped and range in color from yellow to orange to red.
Use gloves when handling Scotch bonnets to prevent irritation, and be sure not to inadvertently rub your eyes or face. Preparation Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine the allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, onion, scallions, chile, rum, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Rub the mixture on each chicken breast and place the chicken in a zipper-lock plastic bag. Spray the rack of a roasting pan with non-stick spray and place in the pan. Arrange the chicken on the rack, and bake for 12 minutes.

Some Bunny Loves You Easter is just a hop away — in celebration, we made these easy and adorable bunny cookies to gift to neighbors. I used my favorite cookie recipe — Mom’s soft sugar cookies (with a hint of lemon), sprinkled with fine sugar, and decorated with mini M&M’s for the eyes, Easter M&M’s for the nose, and confetti sprinkles for the baby bunnies.
Wrap them in festive parchment paper, package them in window bags, with a note saying, “Some bunny loves you! We hope you have a Hoppy Easter!” And that’s our wish for you too — A very Hoppy Easter, everyone! 19stumbleupon Strawberry Ice Cream Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons — full of beautiful colors and rich aromas. 10stumbleupon A Simple Frittata The egg garden (I needed the empty shells, remember?) 9stumbleupon Cafe Rio Chicken Tacos Cafe Rio Shredded Chicken Tacos Ironically our family eats them so often that ‘taco’ was picked up as one of Beck’s first words. 15stumbleupon Cake Is Always a Good Idea. Brown Butter Ravioli with Rotisserie Chicken, Toasted Walnuts and Crispy Sage. Here’s an incredibly scrumptious ravioli dish that I just love. Love. This is definitely one of my favorites here, I could eat that crispy sage all day long! The flavor combinations in this dish blow me away every single time.
I know you’ll love this one! I normally use leftover rotisserie chicken in this dish, but just in case you don’t have any on hand, let me show you this quick and easy chicken technique I picked up from the fabulous Picky Palate blog. Start with 1 lb split chicken breast with rib meat, skin on. You’ll also need kosher salt, pepper, and this menagerie of spices — dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Combine 1 tsp of all your spices… And sprinkle over both sides of the chicken. Heat one tablespoon of canola oil over medium high heat in a dutch oven or a large, oven-safe pot. When the oil is hot, add the chicken skin side down and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Like this.. check out that beautiful crispy skin!
Grab about 1/2 cup walnuts… Pizza Dip. Over the last while I have slowly been trying to free up some space in my freezer and I recently came across some pizza sauce that I had left over after making a pizza a while back. As soon as I stumbled upon it I remembered thinking that I had wanted to use it to make a hot cheesy pizza dip when I put it in the freezer. Once I had that thought there was no turning back and I was already dreaming up recipes for the dip.
At first I was just going to follow my standard hot cheese dip template where I just mix everything up, pour it into a dish and bake it until the cheese is melted, golden brown and bubbling but then I had another idea. I wanted to top the dip with slices of pepperoni but my normal dip baking dish is small and it would only allow for about three slices of pepperoni to go on top so I needed something bigger, like a pie plate. Since this pizza dip is in the form of a pizza, you could top it with any of your favourite pizza toppings. Pizza Dip Servings: makes 4 servings. Recipes. Edible Moments. Pumpkin Soup. New feature alert: Please note the new Print button at the top of each cooking post! Yippee. It’s the little things in life, I tell ya. I realize I just posted a bright orange (carrot) pureed soup a couple of weeks ago, but you know what? I don’t sit down and plan my food cravings. I am who I am and that’s all that I am.
This pumpkin soup is yummy, creamy, and so velvety-smooth (not to play favorites, but much smoother than the carrot soup) you won’t believe it. Serve the soup in bowls like normal people…or get fancy-schmancy and serve it in hollowed-out pumpkins of whatever size you’d like. First: the pumpkin. Poor pumpkins! So here’s what you need for the soup: pumpkins (pumpkin puree), stock (vegetable or chicken), heavy cream, nutmeg, maple syrup, salt, and pumpkin seeds. I used storebought pumpkin seeds, then just threw ‘em on a cookie sheet to toast them for a few minutes.
No huge difference, though—just close your eyes and pick a method! Begin by pouring the stock into a pot. Not.
