Alice Cooper (né Vincent Damon Furnier le 4 février 1948 à Détroit , Michigan [ 1 ] ) est un chanteur et auteur-compositeur-interprète de hard rock américain dont la carrière s'étend sur plus de cinq décennies. De par son attitude et son apparence, il est reconnu comme étant le principal père du shock rock [ 2 ] . Alice Cooper était à l'origine un véritable groupe, avec Vincent Furnier, alias Alice Cooper, aux chants et occasionnellement l'harmonica, Glen Buxton et Michael Bruce à la guitare, Dennis Dunaway à la basse et Neal Smith à la batterie. Le Alice Cooper Group est véritablement entré sur le devant de la scène en 1971 avec son premier grand succès international, I'm Eighteen , titre issu du troisième album du groupe, Love It to Death , succès confirmé l'année suivante avec le single School's Out .
