It's always autumn - itsalwaysautumn - easy square top with stamped polka dots. My summer wardrobe used to be primarily made up of stretchy fitted tees. Super comfy, easy to wash and wear, available in any color you could wish for, and cheap. But have you noticed that all the fitted t-shirts seem to be made out of tissue-thin material lately? Tissue thin fitted tees are not a good look for me. I would blame that on the five babies I’ve had, but it’s not their fault. Note to self: remove cell phone from back pocket prior to taking photos I picked up some gold fabric in the “silkies” section of Joann’s – 1 yard was plenty for my top (it was 60 in wide – you may need more than 1 yd if your fabric is only 45 in wide) and on sale it was about $5. You might notice that the pieces you cut aren’t exactly square, and that’s fine. That completes the basic construction. To finish the armholes, press your side seams open. At this point you just need to do is to finish the neckline (use bias tape or make a facing) and hem the bottom (turn up about an inch and stitch).

No Sew, Tee-Shirt Halter #3. I have the exciting opportunity to head to the beach for a couple of days, to relax and soak up a little of that beautiful Florida sunshine. I wanted to do one more halter top to take to wear with my jeans and this is what I came up with. It can be changed in so many ways let's just say this is a 3 in one shirt. It seems like I am packing all of my DIY tops and dresses to wear. Video Tutorial Things You Need. Tee-Shirt~ mine is a mens mediumScissorsChalk Front Cut where the red lines are. Happy Monday. Lots of <3, DIY. Lena sent me a picture of a shirt that she wanted me to write up a DIY for. I made mine a little different, but at the end of this post I will show you how to do this. Which I call the Butterfly. I love getting requests for DIY-ing, Keep them coming.:) Tutorial Things you need T-Shirt Scissors Thread and a needle or a sewing machine.

Cut off the collar. Fold the front part of the shirt in half and cut slits gradually reducing the length of each slit. This it what the shirt looks like when you open it back up. I cut the top of the shirt about an 1/2 inch away from the shoulder seams. It will look like the picture above. OK, now for the laddering. take the second from the bottom piece and pull it under and on top of the bottom piece . gradually take each piece and do the same thing all the way up to the top. Back tie it. Sew it lovely: lace overlay top... Hello to you and hello to sunshine!! Wow, Mondays are SO much easier to deal with when it's sunny. I unfortunately didn't get to make the most of the sunshine over the weekend due to a 'certain' rugby tournament that is ruling our roost at the moment...I did however get to crack out my sewing machine so all is well :) I've been on the lookout for a lace top for a while now.

So when I found a long forgotten bag of black lace I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. It was just big enough to make a full length top...I'd like to think that it was meant to be :) This is the perfect way to upcycle an old t-shirt, I love how it turned out! Happy Monday! Tutorial: light drape cardigan. Drastic changes in temperature drive me insane. Stepping outside an airconditioned mall to the taxi stand will have me sweating seven ways to Sunday. Conversely, if I step inside a freezing room from somewhere warm, my tummy will do sommersaults. Or I’ll get a migraine. Because I seem to have an old lady’s body, I needed a light cardigan. I made a DIY cardigan, of course. This DIY light cardigan is just the right garment for keeping my body from going berserk. Bonus: this can be a great DIY beach cover-up, too. [wp_ad_camp_1] 1. 2. 3.
