Snippets of My Family, Faith, and Crafting: Tutorial: Baby Doll Sleeping Bag. The last several months I've been enjoying tapping into my creative crafty side and learning how to sew again. I've discovered the wonderful world of free online tutorials for so many different crafts and sewing projects, and I'm in love. My bookmark list has grown dramatically (which annoys my husband) because there are so many new things I want to try. I've done a few things already, and hope to blog about them soon so other people can try these cool projects! I also decided I want to "give back" to the online crafting world by posting my own tutorial for a baby doll sleeping bag I put together. There may be other tutorials for this on the web that would be better/easier, but I just decided to try to do this off the top of my head, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well this turned out!

And the best part is, my daughters' love it!!! Here are the instructions. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. That's it! Seriously, this whole thing took me less than an hour (not including the interruptions). Wee_Wonderfuls_NEW. Search results for Pretend and play. I was thinking that I would just flash you the pics of my pretend and play diaper bag accessories and that would be that.

Uhm . . . I was wrong. After my post yesterday, I received a semi-surprising number of very kind e-mails demanding requesting that I post a how-to for each of the accessories. ;) (Have I mentioned how much I continue to grow in fondness for all of you who read this blog? Your e-mails were all so sweet. Truth is that even if just one of you had asked, I would have done it. You are going to love how seriously easy this is. Here's what you need:-felt or fleece (I used felt for one and fleece for the other. Here's what you do:1) Use pinking shears to cut a 7 x 9 inch (or whatever size) rectangle out of the felt or fleece you've chosen. 2) Tri-fold fleece so that the two ends meet up with a slight overlap in the center. 3) Sew both ends shut. 4) Use pinking shears to cut 6 to 8 rectangles from the flannel. Yep, it's that easy!! Craft on! Felt Baby Doll Diaper Pattern. Before baby came, my daughter started to show more interest in her baby dolls. We had started buying things for the baby and she wanted some diapers for her dolls to wear.

Well, instead of using real diapers which would have probably been shredded to pieces after a while, I whipped up some felt diapers for her to have. She liked these better because “they are prettier” than real baby diapers I made them a size to fit a variety of dolls/animals. And an Itty Bitty baby doll. Start by gathering your supplies:-Print out the pattern here (I suggest printing on cardstock paper) -Felt (I used the $.25 pieces from the craft store)-Scissors-Velcro (I used 3/4 inch, but you can use whatever size you like. Fold your piece of felt in half and place the pattern on the fold. Cut out pattern. Grab your velcro and place them in the spots marked below. Now let your little one start diapering dolls and stuffed animals. 2 little hooligans: fat quarter friday {baby doll accessories: part 1} Simply Feather: Tutorial: Baby Doll Diaper.

Just Deanna: Sew a quick doll's sleeping bag. I made this quick doll sleeping bag for Kalla's doll for her Camping Day at kindergarten a couple of weeks ago. It was super simple as I used velcro instead of dealing with a long zipper. Easier for her to work with too. This is what it looks like opened up. I also included a coordinating pillow. It is completely separate, however you could hand sew it to the sleeping bag if you want. To make your own doll's sleeping bag, cut 2 pieces of fabric according to the measurements above. This fits a 25" doll. If you like, make a pillow. Finally have a project to link in Misty's fun sewing parties: Sew Cute Tuesday.
