Fantasy Name Generator. By Samuel Stoddard - Version 1.5 One of the perks of creating fantasy stories -- whether by writing a story or game or by role-playing -- is you get to make up the names. Some people relish the task while others are frustrated by it. Some like it but can't seem to create names that are diverse enough. Fantasy Name Generator is a tool that can help you. It can generate an endless number of random names (of people, places, or anything) that would be suitable for use in a fantasy setting. It can generate names on its own, or you can tell it what kind of name you're looking for. Feel free to use this tool and any name that comes out of it (assuming it doesn't accidentally generate a legally protected trademark or something). In addition, this tool can be fairly amusing to use even if you don't have any name creating to do. You can use the fantasy name generator below. OpenRPG: Online Virtual Tabletop.

I've been wanting to redesin my website for some time. This new design is really only a tweak to the old design, but it has one important change: it works on both desktop and mobile devices. And it's not two different sites (as is often the case), but rather one site that adapts. If you look at this site on your smartphone, it should adapt to the smaller screen size.

It's not ideal. When I saw it works, I don't mean it's flawless. But it's usable. Anyhow, I've been trying my best to clear my plate the last year so I can do more blogging and work on other projects. Gencon approaches and I want to continue with my gencon blogs I started last year. If you find something not working on the website due to these changes, please let me know asap (webmaster at rpgobjects.com). Crooked staff productions roleplaying aids. In some instances (such as with the adventures section) the downloads are compatible with the Dungeons & Dragons (3rd edition) role-playing game - though in most cases they should prove to be equally suitable for most types of role-playing / board games with little or no modification. Zugg's Mapping Application (zMapper) Dark Isle - Castles and other historic sites in Scotland. Advanced Dragon Description. As shown on the picture above, for a creature with composite eyes, the Earth still look like the old planet we still know but the details are poor. For an insect, the important point is probably to distinguish the flowers from the landscape and your hand (or predator) before you hit him.

It is simple and well, it does the work for them but seriously, any large creature would be greatly disadvantaged by this type of eyes. No slit at all; eyes appearing like a crystal ("crystalline" eyes)? Think about the pernese dragons. This would also means that the eyes are always focused no matter the distance of the object (I admit this could seem very strange for most of us, but imagine a photo where the close objects are as sharp and crisp as the objects far away). As said above, the advantage would be to be to always have the close and far object focused at the same time and having a great deep perception even with a single eye. Glowing crystalline eyes? Are your NPCs drab and boring? Do they all speak with the same voice (yours) and use the same mannerisms (yours)? Do they exist only as plot hooks, sage advisors, and merchants? They could be a rare celestial creature, a dignitary from a foreign realm, or the child of a legendary hero. You’ve probably seen the terrain before: plastic, hex based, people try to use it for just about anything although I don’t really think it’s suitable for classic Battletech, although everyone seems to try it. ^ I didn't make that; LOTR inspired map Heroscape is a game that shouldn’t exist. It got started by Hasbro for big stores like Walmart and Toy’s R Us.

Smaller stores that wanted to carry it had to pay damn near retail for the master sets, which contain the bulk of the terrain that people want so badly. Eventually, the big stores started getting tired of how much space it took up and Hasbro decided to kick it down to the Wizard’s of the Coast brand, which would start aiming for hobby shops and general geek repositories. OTOH, these people still can’t sell the terrain, only figures in booster packs. However, my biggest worry is that I can’t get a Rise of the ArchValkyrie master set for my friend’s kids anymore. ^I made this one: Hulk and Venom working together in a backyard battle. Write Your Name in Elvish in Ten Minutes You want to write your name in Elvish, but every place you go seems to make it harder than it ought to be. Elvish writing looks beautiful and mysterious, but does it really have to be impossible to understand? Why doesn't somebody just spell out the alphabet so you can simply substitute the letters and get straight to the result? That's exactly what I've done here. Learn to write your name in Elvish in ten minutes. It's not very hard. Here's the alphabet. That's it. Generally the vowels go above the consonants, but sometimes, in the case of Y and silent E, they go below. The straight line underneath is just one way to make one character do the work of two. The line above a consonant means that a nasal N or M precedes the consonant in question.

Here's one last example with two different letter combinations. I am often asked how to handle double vowel situations. That's all you need to get started. Good luck! Ned Gulley Want an Elvish tattoo? Adventure Hook Random Generator. MeganAPhilbrick.
