Requiem For A Dream / It'll Be Better Tomorrow (2 Disc) Tideland. Goodbye Lenin. The year is 1989 and East and West Germany are still divided. Alex (Daniel Brühl) and his sister Ariane (Maria Simon) live in East Germany with their single mother, Christiane (Katrin Sass) who is a staunch Socialist. When Alex's mother witnesses his arrest on a protest march, she suffers a heart attack and falls into a coma for eight months, just enough time for the Berlin wall to come tumbling down along with all of East Germany's ideals. Eight months later, Christiane wakes up and things have changed. The doctors warn Alex that any shock could bring on a fatal heart attack. Average rating (7 reviews) This is such a superb film.

This film is one of those 'world cinema movies' deffo worth watching! A Brilliant film with an especially brilliant soundtrack (from the immensely talented Yann Tiersen who also composed the soundtrack to Amelie). I don`t know why many English only speakers have a fear over "foreign" films. Jumper. A teenager from an abusive household discovers he can teleport from one place to another. He uses this ability to search for the man he believes is responsible for the death of his mother, drawing the attention of the NSA, and another youth with the same power... Based on the novel by Steven Gould and from the director of The Bourne Identity comes Jumper - featuring a host of stars including Hayden Christensen, Samuel L Jackson, Diane Lane and Jamie Bell. Average rating (122 reviews) By now you should know what you're getting, if you like 90 minutes of action and very little characterization then be my guest. With hardly any plot to speak of and good special effects, this film at least has some novelty in that the main character is not really a hero.

Then again, Hancock seems to have looked into that side of super powers in more depth - so all this has going for it is the fact there are some "jump" effects. In the film, Hayden Christensen, David Rice, finds he can teleport. Average rating (6 reviews) John Milius has always fancied himself as a latter day Hemingway, a kind of warrior-poet accredited with Jaws, Dirty Harry, and Evel Knievel. This is another flick from when i was a kid that i almost forgot about and was glad that i didn't as it's still very entertaining! Can't get enough Futurama: Futurama News. Hancocks Half Hour - 50th Anniversary Complete Collection. Space Truckers. They've shipped everything from square pigs to anti-gravity beer but now they've got a load of trouble!

Average rating (25 reviews) Recent years have seen a great deal of well-produced, successful adaptations of well-known comic book characters. Back in the mid-nineties when Judge Dredd was released things were oh so different. Not that Stallone was necessarily THE worst choice to play Dredd, just that with all his shouting 'I AM der law! ' and the unforgivable decision for him to remove his helmet you can't help feeling that there's a much, much better film in here somewhere.

Moderate effects fail to hide a film that totally fails to do justice to the classic 2000AD character. I had this movie on VHS and I loved it. This movie may not have been as violent as the comics but its still a very cool film, a Stallone classic! I have never read the comics so I couldn't judge this on how faithful it was to the original material but I have to admit I really enjoyed this. In 1995 the film had 2000AD fans attacking it like rabid dogs.
