true that John’s left RHCP again
In the article the website just published, MusicRadar's Joe Bosso - the same person who did the podcast/interview with John early this year - says that they "exclusively interviewed" a "source close to the band" and that John has indeed been replaced with Josh Klinghoffer. "Josh Klinghoffer has been playing with the group for a couple of months now," says the source. "Optimistically, the Peppers are trying to lock down a replacement for John, who has apparently quit. "Mentally, John checked out a long time ago.Metallica
festivals
While fans were salivating about a Big Four of thrash tour, would you be willing to leave Megadeth out of the mix to see Metallica, Heaven and Hell, Slayer, Anthrax and Mastodon all on one night? The lucky bastards in Prague will be able to do just that as this summer's Sonisphere Festival rolls through town. (This should make travel agents the world over very happy). Metallica is busy announcing 2010 tour dates like crazy and Thursday was no exception with the announcement of the afore mentioned date and another European date. Here is what they had to say: Good morning and welcome to today's tour date update. We're happy to announce that after over ten years, we will be returning to Budapest, Hungary for a show at the Puskas Ferenc Stadium on May 14, 2010 . . . a very long overdue visit for sure!Roskilde Festival | Roskilde Festival Ground, Roskilde, Denmark
The Roskilde Festival, one of the longest-running and best rock events in Europe, takes over Roskilde in Denmark every year. Continually attracting some of the biggest names in rock, it's one of Denmark's, and Scandinavia's, most raucous annual events. The festival first took place in 1971 and has grown steadily since, now attracting around 100,000 people. The event is environmentally aware - no cans or glass or plastic bottles are allowed on the site, all drinks are poured in mugs or sold in cartons.Rock Werchter is one of Belgium's biggest and best music festivals. It takes place on a special site about 30km east of Brussels and attracts up to 50,000 people each year, with enough room for everyone to camp. The line-up for 2011 is as impressive as ever with main stage headliners The Chemical Brothers and Kings of Leon. Joining them are other biggies (namely The Arctic Monkeys, Portishead, Cold Play, PJ Harvey, Iron Maiden and The Kaiser Chiefs); and on the uppers like Swedish Pop nymphette Robyn, and Belgium rockers Goose.
