Gilligan wanted to create a series in which the protagonist became the antagonist. "Television is historically good at keeping its characters in a self-imposed stasis so that shows can go on for years or even decades," he said. "When I realized this, the logical next step was to think, how can I do a show in which the fundamental drive is toward change? " The Walking Dead. The eighth season of the American television comedy series How I Met Your Mother was announced in March 2011 along with confirmation of the ninth season.[1] The season premiered on September 24, 2012[2] and concluded on May 13, 2013.[3] In addition to the Region 1 DVD release of the season on 1 October 2013, it was also added for streaming on Netflix the same day.
