The show dates are posted below; times will be added as soon as they are finalized. Scenes from Cymbeline - Free Shakespeare in the Park 2011 (L to R: Galen Murphy-Hoffman as 1st Gentleman, Emily Jordan as Innogen, Craig Marker as Posthumus, Sharon Robinson as the Queen) About Free Shakespeare in the ParkSunday Streets 2012 season features a four-event Mission Sunday Streets Pilot project, consisting of four consecutive events the first Sundays from May to August on the popular Mission route. The purpose of this pilot is to explore the feasibility of holding more frequent Sunday Streets events on an established route by holding one Sunday Streets on the first Sunday of each month to see what the challenges are and how it works for the community. We plan to do additional outreach during this pilot period, including an Economic Analysis among businesses along the route, and gathering input from residents, business owners, local employees, religious institutions to gauge the impacts and support for the idea of having a regular Sunday Streets route in the Mission (or in another area of the City).

Events and Public Programs You'll find a wealth of public programs at the San Francisco Center for the Book. Many are free events. Events create opportunities for the community to cultivate ties with professional and amateur book artists, writers and scholars; share the pleasures of letterpress printing, bookbinding, letterforms and artists' books with a broader audience and create an exciting dialogue between makers, collectors and connoisseurs.
