No, not an online dating service … ResearchMatch is an NCRR-funded secure registry that allows individuals to sign up to receive alerts about clinical research in which they might be interested and for which they might be eligible — and researchers to sign up to find potentially eligible participants for their studies. Currently, 40 of the 46 current CTSA sites are participating, and the registry will eventually expand to include non-CTSA institutions. As described in the NIH’s news release : After an individual has self-registered to become a volunteer, ResearchMatch’s security features ensure that personal information is protected until volunteers authorize the release of their contact information to a specific study that may be of interest to them. Volunteers are notified electronically when they are a possible match and then make the decision regarding the release of their contact information. http://writedit.wordpress.com/2009/11/13/researchmatch-org/

Cooperative Study Group for Autoimmune Disease Prevention

Formation and History The Cooperative Study Group for Autoimmune Disease Prevention (CSGADP) was established in 2001 as a collaborative network of investigators with a focus on prevention of autoimmune disease, defined as halting the development of autoimmune disease prior to clinical onset by means other than global immunosuppression, and an emphasis on Type 1 diabetes. The initial network of five cooperative agreements was funded by NIAID, the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office for Research in Women’s Health, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. Standard Due Dates for Competing Applications

Submission Policies (Electronic & Paper Applications) Due Dates on Holidays/Weekends When a standard postmark/submission date falls on a weekend or Federal holiday , the application deadline is automatically extended to the next business day. Note: if the submission deadline shifts beyond the expiration date of the FOA, applicants submitting electronically may receive a warning message from Grants.gov. This warning will not keep your application from processing through Grants.gov. As always, applicants must check the eRA Commons to view their application and to ensure they have addressed any errors (instances of non-compliance with NIH business rules) identified by NIH systems. Late Applications Permission is not granted in advance for submission of a late application.

For contracts, the suffix is replaced by a modification number. Application type is the first digit on an application identification number: Type 1 — New — provides PHS support for a new research project grant.
