October 10, 2006 In Inc Magazine this month, they name give statistics on the new INC 500. The most surprising statistic: The median amount it took to start one of the 500 businesses was $75,000. That means that 249 businesses started for less.I know this may not be the inspirational pie in the sky post you want to hear, but it is reality. If you are already a part time entrepreneur, solo entrepreneur, or blogger you can probably empathize with this list. Better yet it might help you gain some insight into your own circumstances. For those that are considering embarking on such a journey, this is fair warning.

There are green media, green companies, and green charities all active on the microblogging service, as well as a whole bunch of individual environmentalists and green bloggers. The #EcoMonday hashtag — the environmental equivalent of #FollowFriday, in which Twitter users suggest “green” tweeters to follow and share green news and info — has grown into a regular trending topic every Monday, along with a variety of other green initiatives. Ainsi, seulement 2 pdg sur les 100 premiers de la liste américaine de Fortune 2009 ont un compte Twitter, 13 un profil sur Linkedln, et 19 une page Facebook, selon une étude d’UberCEO.com. Pis, les trois quarts des pdg ont une page sur eux dans Wikipedia, mais le tiers d’entre eux présentent des informations erronées ou non actualisées. Un exemple de cancre du Web? Edward Whitacre Jr , le tout nouveau pdg de General Motors, qui n’a jamais envoyé de courriel, et n’entend pas s’y mettre maintenant. Sans surprise, ceux qui dirigent une entreprise technologique sont les mieux lotis.
