Action for Children Action for Children is one of the UK’s largest children’s charities, and our values – equality, passion and hope– ensure that children are at the centre of everything we do. Action for Children Buckinghamshire Activity Project Action for Children run the local service Bucks Activity Project, which was set up to provide play and leisure opportunities for children and young people with disabilities in response to the review of the provision of services to children with disabilities by Dr Philippa Russell in 1999. In the review it was recognised that children with disabilities and their families are potentially at risk of social exclusion due to poor access to services, venues and related social networks. “Bucks Activity Project” are running many exciting opportunities for short breaks in Buckinghamshire under contracts with Buckinghamshire County Council .
