My wife backed into my hardtop (which was sitting on the garage floor) and busted the passenger side window. I wanted to replace it myself, so I bought the replacement glass from a friend who owns an auto glass shop.
I searched the forum for a "how-to" but came up empty handed. So, I went ahead and did it myself (learning as I went), and I thought I'd post this on here for some future victim. First, the replacement glass cost me $40 at cost. It might be more if you buy it retail, but if you look around you may be able to find good glass from a trashed top somewhere. The windshield adhesive was $13 at Advanced, and it was just in a tube like what caulking comes in, so you need to buy a gun if you don't already have one. My glass was already shattered, so I just removed the remaining glass from the window frame with a narrow paint scraper. Next I removed the silver tab at the bottom of the window frame that houses the ends of the trim. Hope this helps!
