That's why we offer a range of activities and support for parents who are or want to breastfeed. We run Breastfeeding Support Groups on Wednesdays at Ouseburn Community Centre 1pm – 2.30pm and on Thursdays at St. Martin's Centre from 1pm - 2:30pm. These session offer advice and information to mums and dads who are breastfeeding. The sessions are run by a La Leche league breastfeeding administrator and are supported by trained breastfeeding Peer Supporters. We also offer La Leche Breastfeeding Peer training for women so they can be specially trained to support and help other mums to gain a better understanding of breastfeeding and the benefits it provides for baby and mum. The recognised qualification enables you to gain confidence, help with the running of the some of our services and provide support for new mums who may need help to breastfeed.
