Last year our volunteer army of 40 trained assessors ( not assassins!), co-ordinated by two super-efficient volunteer facilitators – Sebastian Rex and Carol Mulholland – assessed in pairs across 81 venues and saw 284 shows. The wealth of talent was outstanding and, with nominations overall running at 11% of the total number of nominations possible across categories, the Panel of Theatre Critics had a tough task deciding.....nonetheless, many coffees later, here are the finalists for 2011:
