first image in a project by d*face, five riders whose skateboards are armed with spraycans become the human brushes for a pool-sized canvas in a project by london-based artist d*face at the southern california skate pool 'ridiculous', skateboarders become the human brushes on the concrete canvas of the pool's walls, leaving permanent colourful skatetrails as they ride. informed by the led zeppelin song 'physical graffiti', the project replaces d*face's previous canvas at the pool (located at cunningham regional skatepark in san jose), and took about a year from conception to its realization. the system relies on a transmitter-- a remote control attached to a skateboard-- and a receiver, attached by velcro to the underside of the board of the current rider, where a can of spraypaint is also affixed. the transmitter triggers a pressure-sensitive servomechanism that pushes down on the cap of the spraycan, releasing varying weights of paint along the skateboard's trail.

The PAS House is perfect for the person who eats and breathes skateboarding and loves skate clothing . A ribbon-shaped path links the inside and outside of the home together, giving riders the ability to board in a continuous motion. The house is divided into three separate spaces. The first one includes the living room, dining area and kitchen, the second features a bedroom and bathroom and the third holds a skateboard practice area. The surfaces in all the rooms curve to form a continuous tube with a 10 ft (3 m) radius, so people can actually skate on the ceilings, along with all the curved furniture in the home. Although the 2,200 sq ft (204 sq m) house is being built at the top of Malibu's Las Flores Canyon, a full-scale 754 sq ft (70 sq m) version of the original house, created by Etnies owner Pierre-André Senizergues and designer Gil Le Bon Delapointe, will be on display in Paris, at La Gaîté Lyrique , for everyone to experience.
