Live Review: Halestorm And Theory Of A Deadman – Brisbane 2023 – Hear2Zen Magazine.

I have been waiting for this tour since the release of ‘Back From The Dead’. I absolutely love this album. The songs and lyrics are always so powerful. But on Thursday night at The Tivoli, Lzzy Hale and Halestorm brought those songs and lyrics to life so passionately. Clearly happy to be back in Australia and after the disappointment of having to cancel their New Zealand shows, the band really gave us a performance showing why they are one of the greatest Rock/Metal bands of our time.

But speaking of great bands, supporting Halestorm was Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman. When the time came for Halestorm to take the stage, the music rumbled through the venue, and then Lzzy, powerful and strong, began to sing ‘The Steeple’ , what a great song to start with!! For me the moment of the night was when Lzzy performed ‘Raise your Horns’ on the piano. The 3 song encore started with ‘Brightside’ and as the beat kicked in the crowd erupted to enjoy the last few songs!

Until the next gig. HALESTORM // Lzzy Hale Reveals Down Under Tour Secrets: Different Sets Each Night, Pure Energy & More. A (hale) storm is brewing for early 2023, with Grammy Award-winning American rockers Halestorm set to whip up a frenzy of rock’n’roll down under in February next year. Live And Die. Following years of rescheduling and cancellations, Halestorm are hungrier than ever to continue bringing their iconic and electrifying live show to the masses. “You have no idea, we are so excited,” Hale enthuses. “This has been something that we really wanted to do, and then everything shut down. And then we had to cancel and then reschedule – but it’s finally happening!” Live Review: Halestorm @ Enmore Theatre | KillYourStereo | Australian and International Punk, Hardcore, Metal, Rock and Indie Music News, Reviews, Interviews and Comps. More Halestorm As the lights dim in the Enmore Theatre, the crowd cheers and Theory of a Deadman take to the stage. Performing a dozen songs the crowd knows, including Angel and a cover of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak, the audience relishes in their unique sound.

If people in the room weren’t familiar with them, they were walking away as new fans. The audience got more than just the show from the opening act, with the frontman Tyler Connolly tossing out numerous guitar picks and towels to the crowd. Lzzy Hale's vocals hit the crowd with undeniable power as a "Halestorm" chant fills the room. The atmosphere was thick with excitement as Back From The Dead began, and the audience let out the night's biggest cheer. Halestorm always impresses with their live performance, and the band captivates the crowd as their live sound continues to match their recordings. Never miss a story! Shifting to the power ballad Mine, the crowd moves in perfect rhythm. Halestorm (Source: Supplied) More Halestorm When I met Lzzy and Arejay Hale backstage at the Forum in Melbourne, they couldn't be any more different to the people who were just doing their soundcheck metres away from me.

For one, neither of them are anywhere near as loud as that soundcheck was. Lzzy's voice and guitar playing boomed, and Arejay sounded like a monster behind the drums. "I was always a kind of shy, kind of terrified kid. Lzzy continues, "I drew a lot of strength from that, and even when we were going through the hard times trying to find members - we had half our band quit on us one time before we found [guitarist] Joe [Hottinger] and [bassist] Josh Smith - I remember turning to him with little prompts like, 'Dude, are we nuts for trying to do this?

'" "I was like, I don't know if we can do this, and he's like, 'Yeah, sis, of course, we're nuts, but what else are we going to do? ' Never miss a story! "We'll never have any drama. "That's why I'm glad we're not in politics. [MUSIC NEWS] HALESTORM To Tour Australian - Subculture Media. [MUSIC INTERVIEW] HALESTORM - 2023 Australian Tour Interview - Subculture Media. Halestorm has grown from a childhood dream of siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale into one of the most celebrated rock bands of the last two decades. Called a “muscular, adventurous, and especially relevant rock record” by Rolling Stone, their Vicious album earned the band their second Grammy nomination and led one magazine to name Halestorm “Rock Artist of the Decade” in 2019. In Australia Vicious was Halestorm’s highest charting album to date landing at #16 on the ARIA chart. Fronted by the incomparable Lzzy Hale with drummer Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bass player Josh Smith Halestorm has earned a reputation as a powerful live music force, headlining sold-out shows and topping festival bills around the world, and sharing the stage with icons including Heaven & Hell, Alice Cooper and Joan Jett.

Now Halestorm are bringing their energetic live show to Australia and I had the chance to sit down and talk to a very excited Arejay about what Australian fans can expect. Trust you to do that very, very Melbourne thing where you dropthe temperature an offensive amount in the space of 12 hours. Of course, you turned the temp down to ‘fucking-freezing-degrees’ on the night of the Halestorm gig; a sold-out show, that saw the line to get into iconic Flinders Street venue, The Forum, span several blocks, twisting and zig-zagging through Melbourne’s famous graffiti-clad alleyways, punters shivering and huddling together, complaining about the sudden cold snap.

The Forum is one of my favourite venues in Melbourne and in my opinion, Halestorm couldn’t have picked a better place for this show. Upon entering, support band, Canada’s Theory Of A Deadman were already playing. Now comes the difficult part for me. Lzzy Hale is nothing short of a rock ‘n roll powerhouse. Halestorm are flawless. Halestorm - 'Australian Rock Lifestyle & Debauchery' Interview. Following the release of their 5th studio album Back From The Dead, Halestorm will make their triumphant return to Australia this week with huge shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of the female-fronted 4 piece rockers sat down with Wall Of Sound to get you pumped for their return! When asked what Australia means to them as a band, Lzzy states how: “Rock is definitely a lifestyle with you Aussies”. Saying we are “The best” She followed by a story: “We’ve gotten into a lot of trouble with the locals. We had a beautiful chat about what songs may or may not appear on the setlist, what they do to bring a different experience every night on stage, their graphic novel, and how excited they are to be bringing old friends Theory along for the ride; including a story about stink bombs and dive bar shows with them when they were writing their first record.
