Card à la Carte: OWLS. Owl Pillow Boxes. Hi everyone! I finally had a moment to photograph a fun project that I worked on when I was super pregnant & super bored I saw these on Pinterest (LOVE that site!!) And I just knew I had to make them. How freaking cute are they? I followed the instructions from Gen exactly. You will need the Sizzix pillow box die, a 3/4" and 1 1/4" circle punch, large oval punch, and trio of hearts SU! Note: please disregard the dusty table...I haven't been up to much cleaning with a newborn in the house, and go figure that my camera would pick that up, right??
You could put candy or money in these little boxes - a perfect favor for a party, birthday, get together, etc. The base of the owls are all cardstock - I went through my stash of designer paper to find matching monotone paper to use for the little feathers. All cardstock used was either Stampin Up or Papertrey Ink. This first one is of Brooke last week sleeping on her Daddy. End of school treat for classmates (with printable) My youngest son has already finished up the school year (kindergarten ends early) and I wanted to bring in a little treat for him to hand out to his classmates at the end-of-school party. Really I think they are from *me* as I'm more traumatized about school ending than him. I helped out in the classroom once a week so I have become quite attached to these sweet kids.
I figured I'd share the printable in case anyone would like to make some, too. They are made to fit around Hershey Miniatures Chocolate Bars. Just cut out, fold at each vertical line, and adhere around bar on the adhesive tab. Print onto white cardstock and *be sure* to set the Page Scaling to None when printing or they won't be the right size. I also kept with the owl theme for "wrapping" the teacher gift. At first I thought he looked too mad, but now I just can't get enough of him.
