Canon T4i Review - Exposure. Color Saturation & Hue Accuracy Very good saturation and excellent hue accuracy.
Saturation. The Canon EOS Rebel T4i produces images with fairly accurate saturation levels. Strong reds, oranges, dark greens and dark blues are pushed a little, while yellow and cyan are slightly muted. The mean saturation of 108.3% (8.3% oversaturated) at base ISO is not too pumped yet not too dull, and saturation remains fairly consistent over the ISO range except at ISO 25,600 where it drops off noticeable. Skin tones. Hue. Saturation Adjustment The Canon EOS Rebel T4i offers a total of nine saturation settings, four above and four below the default saturation. The table above shows alternate settings including the default as well as the two extreme saturation settings. Sensor Exposure and White Balance Indoors, incandescent lighting Auto and Incandescent settings both struggled with household incandescent lighting, though Manual white balance worked well.

I was doodling in my Moleskine notebook and musing about pinhole cameras when and idea struck me. What if I made a camera that was panoramic and high capacity at the same time. I had been shooting with my 6×9 medium format pinhole (120 film) for a few weeks and was happy with the images but wished I could get more than eight shots a roll and have a wider field of view. What I thought was if I moved the pinhole closer to the film plane and rotated to aspect 90 degrees I could get dozens of images on a single roll of film and still get a pretty good sized negative. My original notes that I drew in the trusty notebook. I sketched some rough dimensioned drawings up to get the size right. I decided on using black foam core for this project because it’s cheap, very easy to work with, light proof, and relatively strong.
This is about the only part that needs to be exact, and even that doesn’t need to be precise. Matchboxpinhole.com. A Homemade Camera That Uses Twenty Separate Lenses. Size of the Kodak Pro Back 645 CCD sensor: The Kodak Pro Back 645 has a 36.72mm x 36.72mm sensor and produces an image that is 4072 x 4072 pixels.
Because this is still only 85% the area of a 6x6 film frame, I rotated the camera 45-degrees so the captured images are diamond shaped. This allowed me to look at an area that is closer to the horizontal edge of a normal 6x6 frame. An 18MB to 19MB DCR (RAW) file is saved to the memory card and then converted into a 48.5MB TIFF file using Kodak's DCS Photo Desk software.
I then opened these in Photoshop and rotated them 45-degrees to straighten out the horizon, before taking 400 x 300 pixel samples from the center and edge. Methodology: The test set up was a Contax 645 with Kodak Pro Back 645 mounted onto a Wimberley Arca-style quick release plate and Graf Studioball ballhead on Gitzo L-407 legs. The lenses were mounted to the camera via a Pentacon 6 - Contax 645 mount adapter. And now, on to the tests!
