Adam, I'm sure what you've come up with here is quite useful, but either I'm missing something integral to its purpose, or you're being deliberately cautious with your words (it's the latter, right?) ;o) But in a completely unrelated scenario, if someone (not you, of course) wants to rip & burn rental DVDs onto his hard drive, he doesn't need DVDShrink; he needs DVD Decrypter (or something similar). This imaginary person would only need DVDShrink if he wanted to shrink the size of a full-length retail DVD so he could fit it onto a DVD-R. If he's only interested in *temporarily* ripping & burning to his *hard drive*, as has been suggested, shrinking the size of the file reduces the quality of the video, so not only is DVDShrink unnecessary, it's counterproductive. Also, as I haven't used DVDShrink since upgrading my hard drives, I don't believe it cracks the encryption on retail DVDs, so again, a user would need DVD Decrypter (or similar).
