Impact Hubs are hosted by a team that connects our members, encourages cross-sector collaboration, design innovative events and programmes, and that generally support your work and build a thriving community. Our team is made up of passionate people from Lambeth who want to support social and business ventures in the borough. The successes of Impact Hub Brixton are all down to team effort! We have three part-time staff and a wonderful team of Member Hosts who, while being our members, also help host the Hub one day a week.
Each Member Host also works on special projects in their areas of interest and expertise. Our Hub was built by Hub Builders - local start-ups, entrepreneurs, social businesses and freelancers who came together just as we were getting off the ground in March 2014. They brought great skills to the many areas they helped with, from setting up this website, to developing events, to infrastructure, space design, work on our beautiful patio and much more.

Photograph: Observer Last November, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (Nesta) teamed up with the Observer to launch a call to find 50 of Britain's new radicals. We wanted to find people who were coming up with creative answers to the big issues of our times, working below the radar of national media. We wanted to celebrate people who were really doing good rather than celebrities famous for being famous. And we wanted to find examples of inspiration during a difficult time. We were bowled over by the response. Many hundreds of nominations came in from every part of country, the great majority of them impressive and intriguing combinations of big vision and practicality.
